Foley Gets Paid with Two Pair

Nível 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

A player raised from middle position to 3,800, the cutoff called and Thomas Foley called in the big blind.

On the flop of {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, Foley checked, the preflop raiser bet out 4,300, the cutoff folded and Foley called.

The turn was the {7-Hearts} and both players checked to see the {q-Diamonds} on the river and Foley led out for 9,000. His opponent thought about it for about 20-seconds and eventually called. Foley tabled {q-Spades}{10-Clubs} for two pairs, and his opponent sighed while mucking his hand.

Stephenson Nearly Has a Whopper of a Tale to Tell

Nível 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Michael Stephenson had a bet of 38,000 in front of him on a {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} board, and Tim Flanders had jammed for 138,000. Stephenson said, "I have to call," before putting in the chips.

Tim Flanders: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Michael Stephenson: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Both players had Broadway, but much to the chagrin of Stephenson, he was also being freerolled by the nut flush draw of Flanders. The {2-Clubs} river bricked off, and they chopped the pot, much to the relief of Stephenson.
