All the chips went in preflop and Renato Kaneoya was in excellent shape to triple versus two opponents. He had pocket-kings against ace-king and ace-jack and with no ace or combo hand on the board, he eliminates one and doubles through the other.

Both Daniel Negreanu and Phil Hellmuth have taken advantage of late registration in The Closer. Hellmuth is down to eight big blinds and Negreanu busted after losing two hands in close succession. Negreanu was heard asking the table when late registration ended, so he may well be back for more.

Action was on the river and there was four clubs on the board. With a decent amount in the pot already, Rex Clinkscales checked to his opponent, who made it 7,000 to get to showdown. Clinkscales made the call and turned over

James Romero kicked off the action with a 2,500 raise in middle position. He was three-bet to 6,200 from the player on his left, before a short stack moved all in for 12,000. Back on Romero and he raised a stack of 5k chips over the top and it got a quick fold from the three-better.
