Suhail Triples Up

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Mohammed Suhail
Mohammed Suhail

With roughly 250,000 in the pot and Mohammed Suhail all in preflop, the board came down {6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{q-Clubs}. Two other players went on in the hand, heads up for the side pot.

Ricardo Daluz, first to act, moved all in for his remaining 104,500 chips, and Jeremey Frost went into the tank. Some time passed as Frost played with his chips and contemplated what he would do.

Suhail then proceeded to call the clock and a floor supervisor arrived to give Frost a countdown. With 10-seconds left to act he made the call and all three hands were opened:

Suhail: {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Frost: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Daluz: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Suhail had both his opponents in rough shape with a flopped set, while Daluz's pocket jacks looked good to win the side pot.

The {6-Hearts} turn gave Suhail a full house straight away and the {5-Hearts} river was no help to Frost, sending his chips Daluz's way.

As some banter was thrown back and forth between players regarding advice and opinions on the way the hand played out, Suhail stood up and said: "I just won a pot I'm allowed to celebrate."

Grizzle Flops a Set and Gets the Max

Nível 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

With 14,500 already in the middle Dennis Grizzle bet 4,000 when the action was checked to him in this heads up pot. On a board reading {9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} his opponent check-raised him to 11,000. Grizzle then re-raised to 29,000 and got called.

The player in the big blind bet 55,000 on the turn which was the {4-Hearts}. Grizzle quickly moved all in for effectively 100,000. His opponent called.

Grizzle: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Opponent: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The {a-Clubs} on the river changed nothing and Grizzle added to his already massive stack.

Wu Gets It In Good

Nível 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

A player opened to 8,000 from middle position, Yin Wu was next to act and he three bet to 20,000. The original raiser called and the two went heads up to a flop.

The player first to act went all in for 38,000 when the flop came {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. Wu made the call and had to fade six outs to secure the knockout.

Wu: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Opponent: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

The turn {4-Hearts} changed nothing. Wu improved to an unneeded set of queens on the river {q-Clubs}. Wu collected the pot and now sits on 240,000.

Clock Renders Sanghera's Hand Dead

Nível 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Jaswinder Sanghera stared at the {9-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{2-Spades} board for several minutes, with his heads-up opponent, Michael Jagroo, all-in for his last 120,000 on the river. The total pot was around 270,000, but one of the other players at the table decided Sanghera's time was up and called clock.

A tournament official came over and counted down to zero, with no action from Sanghera. The inaction made Sanhera's hand dead, by rule, and Jagroo took in the massive pot.

O'Donnell Makes the Correct Call

Nível 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

The player first to act under the gun opened the action with a raise to 5,500. He got called by the player in the cutoff, as well as Kevin O'Donnell in the big blind.

On a flop of {q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} the action checked to the button who fired 7,000, O'Donnell called and the preflop raiser folded.

Heads up to the turn which was the {j-Diamonds}. O'Donnell led out for 11,000 and got called.

The {k-Spades} completed the board on the river and O'Donnell bet 5,500. His opponent in the cutoff went all in for 29,000. O'Donnell announced that he read his opponent for diamonds but decided he had to see it and made the call.

O'Donnell: {9-Spades}{10-Spades}
Opponent: {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

"Good call." His opponent announced as they turned their cards over. O'Donnell's straight was good as he sent his opponent to the rail and chipped up to 200,000.

Bounahara Four-Bets Patterson

Nível 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

After facing a raise to 5,100 and a reraise to 15,000 from Jebhar Patterson, action folded to Pierre Bounahara in the small blind. He elected to put in a cold four-bet to 52,000, which was around one-forth of Patterson's stack.

The original raiser got out of the way and Patterson went into the tank. He continued to look at his cards over and over but eventually, he pushed his cards forward while announcing "Fold. I never make this fold but good bet I had ace-king."

Correction on Ainonkpo's Starting Stack

Nível 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Leandry Ainonkpo was incorrectly recorded as having 726,600 to start the day, which would have made him the overall chip leader going into Day 2.

The Frenchman actually started with 126,600 today, and he's holding steady as Level 13 begins. To clarify, he has not lost 600,000-plus chips in the first two levels of the day.
