Doddanavar Leaves Czuczor on Crumbs

Nível 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Marton Czuczor opened from early position and Yasheel Doddanavar three-bet to 6,100 in the cutoff. The action folded back to Czuczor who called to see a flop of {9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}.

Czuczor check-called a bet of 9,100 from Doddanavar and the {5-Spades} landed on the turn. Czuczor checked again and Doddanavar shipped all in for 37,700. Czuczor thought for a moment and then called to put Doddanavar at risk.

Doddanavar tabled {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} which was leading Czuczor's {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. The river was the {4-Hearts} and Doddanavar held on to double up, leaving Czuczor with just 2,000 chips.

Super Late Reggers Super Short Stacked

Nível 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

A handful of players opted for finish-line registration including Phil Hellmuth and another of today's $600 PLO/NLH finalists Stephen Ma (6th for $36,852). They're taking a shot at spinning a 15bb starting stack into a Day 2 playable one, and understandably are under pressure to make a move swiftly.

Stephen Ma's shot didn't work out; he moved all in for 13,500 with {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, snapped off by a player with {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}, no outdraw.

One table along, Phil Ivey was just all in preflop for 7,000 as a button three-bet after a cutoff open to 2,200, but his potential eliminator made the fold.

Soyza Gets the Best of Korenev

Nível 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Michael Soyza raised it up from the cutoff and Roman Korenev defended from the big blind. The flop came {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Korenev check-called a continuation bet from Soyza.

The turn brought the {9-Diamonds} and with around 10,000 in the middle, Korenev check-called another bet of 8,000 from Soyza. The river was the {j-Clubs} and both players knuckled the table. Soyza flipped over {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and Korenev sent his cards to the muck.

Kuo Squeezes Successfully

Nível 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Kitty Kuo picked up 8,000 chips with no whiff of a flop, moving all in for 31,100 after a mid-position open to 2,500 and two callers, one in late position and one the big blind. The only tank came from the initial opener; the other two released their hands immediately.

Ivey Dusted

Nível 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Phil Ivey sat down with less than 20 big blinds and that turned out to be the peak of his chip stack. Ivey got the last of his 13,000 chips in the middle with {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and was up against the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} of his opponent.

The flop of {10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} left Ivey in the lead but his opponent picked up a flush draw. The {2-Diamonds} on the turn gave his opponent the nut flush and Ivey darted toward the exit.

Lynskey Gets One Through

Nível 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Alex Lynskey opened to 2,200 in middle position and was called by the player on his left along with both of the blinds. The flop fell {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{7-Spades} and the action checked around to the {6-Spades} on the turn.

The small blind checked again and the big blind tossed in a bet of 3,600. Lynskey called and the small blind came along as well. The river was the {q-Diamonds} and both of the blinds checked. Lynskey put together a bet of 10,500 and the small blind instantly folded, while the big blind took a moment longer but eventually did the same.
