Timur Margolin - 2018 $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em Winner

While the World Series of Poker has put together an incredible 2019 schedule with brand new events and all different types of tournaments, now it is time for just some good old no-limit hold'em. Event #48: $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em kicks off today on the first of a four-day tournament that will see another WSOP gold bracelet awarded.

In 2018, Timur Margolin defeated a field of 1,248 players to capture his second WSOP bracelet and a payday of $507,274. Margolin already has three cashes this summer and will surely be back in a quest to add another to his resume. This tournament is sure to attract some of the bigger names around the game with a slightly higher buy-in and the only no-limit hold'em variation currently taking place on the schedule.

The action will get underway at 12 p.m. local time and each player will begin with 15,000 chips when they take to the felt. The blinds will start at 100/100 and the levels will be 60 minutes in length. There will be a 20-minute break after every two levels and a 75-minute dinner break after the sixth level today.

Late registration will remain open through the first eight levels until approximately 9:15 p.m. This tournament will not offer the option of any re-entries and will be the classic freezeout format. A total of 10 levels will be played today and the tournament will be split up into four days with the winner being crowned on Sunday, June 23.

Dizenzo Wins an Early Pot

Nível 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

The action folded around to the button who just limped in which invited the small blind to come along as well as Dan Dizenzo in the big blind. The flop came {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and the small blind led out for 200. Dizenzo called as did the button.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and the action checked around to the {10-Hearts} on the river. The small blind and Dizenzo checked again and the button tossed in a bet of 400. The small blind folded and Dizenzo looked him up. The button turned over {k-Spades}{2-Spades} but Dizenzo tabled {a-Spades}{6-Spades} to claim the pot.

Hutter Ships the Turn

Nível 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

The action folded around to the blinds who went heads-up to a flop of {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. The small blind led out for 500 and Barry Hutter called to see the {8-Diamonds} on the turn.

The small blind fired out another bet of 1,600 and Hutter slid in his stack of chips, more than enough to cover his opponent's remaining 6,000. He quickly folded and Hutter dragged in the pot.
