After twenty levels, play has ended in Event #71: $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em (30-minute levels) and only 39 players out of the 452 entries in total have managed to find a bag to tag. All those entries created a total prize pool of $2,101,800 and the winner tomorrow will walk away with $485,082 for first place and the coveted gold WSOP bracelet.
Jonathan Abdellatif takes the overnight chip lead with 754,000 in chips. This is Abdellatif’s 4th WSOP cash this summer, of which one was fourth place in Event #54: Big Blind Antes $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em. Trailing in second place is Markus Gonsalves with 722,000, who has also reached his fourth cash for this summer with a final table in Event #61: $1,000 WSOP.com ONLINE No-Limit Hold'em Championship.
Closing the podium for today is Chance Kornuth with 622,000. The two-time bracelet winner has been having a pretty good summer. This is his seventh cash this series, which includes his second bracelet win in Event #63: $3,200 WSOP.com ONLINE No-Limit Hold'em High Roller. Paul Hoefer (579,000), Liv Boeree (534,000), Steven Wolansky (498,000), Matt Glantz (473,000), Phil Hellmuth (468,000), and Antoine Saout (410,000) are just a few of the many super stars in the poker world that have made it through to Day 2.
Some of the players that weren’t that lucky but did make the money include Cliff Josephy, Ben Dobson, Aleksandr Gofman, Sergio Aido, Lander Lijo, Greg Merson, Chris Ferguson, Tom Cannuli, Ian Steinman, [Removed:17], and Pascal Hartmann.

Day 2 will restart at noon local time, Wednesday, July 11. Level 21 will feature a small blind of 6,000, big blind of 12,000 and a running ante of 2,000. The 39 remaining players will all be guaranteed at least $9,747 and the action is expected to be fast and furious again.
