A total of 1,471 entries took to the felt on Saturday at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino for Day 1b of Event #7: $565 COLOSSUS No-Limit Hold'em at the 2018 World Series of Poker, but just 55 bagged chips at the conclusion of play. Leading the way is Christopher Haydt with 419,000, the only player from this flight to bag a stack in excess of 400,000 chips.

While Haydt quietly amassed a formidable stack, several others also have quite a few chips to work with, including Kevin Eyster (307,000), Brett Schaffer (296,000), Irene Carey (291,000), and Andrei Moldovan (271,000). The chip leaders are joined by several notable names including Barry Shulman (160,000) and former November Niner Scott Montgomery (103,000).

Although not all the familiar faces were fortunate enough to survive the day, quite a few made it through the money bubble and recorded small cashes, including Upeshka De Silva, Samantha Abernathy, Heidi May, and previous WSOP Player of the Year Jeff Madsen.

Quite a few of the more well-known players who tried their luck in this flight left empty-handed, including Chris Ferguson, Sparrow Cheung, Niall Farrell, Dylan Linde, Tim West, and Valentin Vornicu.

Those who have yet to bag chips in either of the two completed starting flights still have four more chances to do so before Day 2 play begins on Tuesday. Here's the schedule for the remaining days of play:

Shulman Eliminated by Moldovan in Three-Way All-In

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Andrei Moldovan raised to 8,500 from middle position, Allyn Shulman shoved for 40,000 from the hijack, the player in the big blind four-bet jammed for what looked like about 65,000, and Moldovan quickly called to put both opponents at risk.

Andrei Moldovan: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Allyn Shulman: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Big blind: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

Moldovan had a commanding lead with his kings and both his opponents needed help to survive. The board ran out {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts} which kept Moldovan's hand best, so he took the pot to eliminate both his opponents from this flight.
