Good afternoon, and welcome back to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino for Day 2 of Event #2: $25,000 Mixed-Max No-Limit Hold'em!
Two-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Vanessa Selbst leads the remaining 60 players, and right behind her is 2011 $50,000 Poker Players' Championship winner Brian Rast. Rast had a steady climb to 557,400 chips during play on Day 1, while Selbst made quads against Jake Schindler in the final level of the evening and bagged 562,800.
Also returning with big stacks are Michael Mizrachi (399,300), Jason Mo (393,000), and Dan Cates (317,000). Mizrachi had less than half of the 75,000-chip starting stack during the wee hours of the night at the Rio, but in true Grinder fashion he was able to spin in up before the day concluded.
Joining these big stacks on Day 2 will be, among many others, big names like Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Jason Mercier, John Juanda, Stephen Chidwick, and JC Tran.

In what would be his final hand of the tournament, Chris Moore opened with a button raise and Weissman shipped all in from the small blind for right around 30,000. The big blind folded and Moore made the call.

It was a classic flip, and according to the PokerNews Odds Calculator, Moore was a slight 51.92% favorite while Weissman would survive 47.52% of the time.
The flop was interesting as it failed to hit Weissman directly, but it made him a 55.35% favorite with two overs and a flush draw. The turn was no help and Moore became a 68.18% favorite, while Weissman's chances of survival dropped to 31.82%.
The blanked on the river and Weissman's day came to an end toward the end of Level 11.
"Good luck guys," Weissman offered before taking his leave from Event #2: $25,000 Mixed-Max No-Limit Hold'em.
Eugene Katchalov checked to John Juanda on a flop of and the fellow WSOP bracelet winner tossed out a bet of 5,000 - roughly a third of the pot.
Katchalov moved all in, making it 42,600 to go and Juanda made the call.

Katchalov had Juanda in rough shape and added a flush draw on the turn (). The on the river not only completed the Ukrainian's flush draw, it gave him a royal flush.

The dealer fanned , Cates check-called a bet of 19,500 and the turn was the . Cates checked again, Selbst fired a second bullet worth 33,500 and Cates called.
The completed the board and Cates checked a third and final time.
"All in," Selbst announced, making it around 88,000 to go.
Cates went into the tank, muttering hand possibilities and sat back in his chair. Nearly six minutes elapsed before he finally dropped a handful of pink T5,000 chips into the pot - signifying a call - and Selbst turned over for a pair of kings.
Cates sprang from his chair.
"Honestly, I thought you had some bull**** like that," he yelled across the table, splashing the rest of his stack forward. "Great f***ing bluff!"
The online wiz kid stormed off and a few players at the table started to laugh.
"You ravage," Keven Stammen, who heard the tirade, told Selbst in passing.
"I expected a lot worse," Selbst admitted, grinning as she stacked her newly acquired chips.
Michael Mizrachi and Phil Ivey were heads up on a completed board of with around 100,000 in the pot. Mizrachi fired out a half-pot bet, Ivey called and Mizrachi rapped the table, signifying a bluff.
Ivey tabled and raked in the pot.
A few hands later, Mizrachi raised to 8,500 in the hijack, Richard Anthony called on the button, John Juanda called out of the small blind and Barry Hutter defended his big blind.
The dealer fanned , Juanda and Hutter both checked, and Mizrachi made a continuation-bet of 20,500. Anthony folded, Juanda followed suit and Hutter check-raised to what looked like 55,000 or so. Mizrachi moved all in for 180,000, Hutter snap-called and the hands were tabled.

The turn and river bricked , respectively, and Mizrachi was eliminated.
John Juanda was first to act and raised to 11,000. Barry Hutter raised to 32,000 on his direct left and Stephen Chidwick moved all in for what looked like 100,000 or so on the button. Both players in the blinds released - as did Juanda - and Hutter instantly called.

The dealer fanned , giving Hutter quad aces and an unbeatable hand, and Chidwick started collecting his things.
"Good luck everyone," the Brit offered as the turn and river came , and he exited the tournament area.
Hutter pulled in the pot and is now up to 545,000 chips.
Back in 2011, Brian Rast defeated Phil Hellmuth in heads-up play in the $50,000 Poker Players' Championship. It was a memorable moment as Hellmuth was pursuing his twelfth bracelet only to have it snatched away after losing three crucial flips.
Ever since then, the two have had a bit of a rivalry and the legend of it has grown here in the $25K. It happened when Jason Mo opened for 14,000 from the hijack and Hellmuth called from the cutoff. Rast then three-bet to 36,000 from the button, Mo folded and Hellmuth snap-shoved for 96,000 more. Rast seemed put off by the insta-shove, and he hit the tank.
"I'll take it right here," Hellmuth told him, seemingly content with what had already been pulled into the middle. Rast thought a little more and then made the call.

Hellmuth was on his feet for the race, but he didn't like it when the flop fell to give Rast the lead.
"That's why I'm a champion," Hellmuth mumbled to himself.
The "Poker Brat" then watched helplessly as the was put out on the turn followed by the on the river.
"Just remember that one later, Rasty," Hellmuth warned before exiting the tournament floor.
Al Decarolis raised to 16,000 in the cutoff, Tony Gregg, known in some circles as the "End Boss," called on the button and Jason Mo defended his big blind. The flop fell , Mo checked and Decarolis continued for 25,000. Only Gregg called. The turn was the , Gregg called another 60,000 from Decarolis and the completed the board.
Decarolis checked, Gregg moved all in for 100,000 or so, and Decarolis called. The 2013 WSOP ONE DROP High Roller winner turned over , then quickly mucked the wired aces when Decarlois revealed for trip jacks.
