The player in the cutoff raised to 4,000 and Bill Chen raised to 10,000 from the big blind. Action back on the cutoff and he 3-bet shoved and Chen insta-called and was at risk.
Ben Yu moved all in and was quickly called by Justin McWilliams.
Yu:
McWilliams:
McWilliams had Yu dominated going to the flop and Yu was at risk of elimination. The board ran out and the the king kicker of McWilliams was good enough to send Yu to the rail.
We don't know the exact betting action, but we do know that Yuval Bronshtein got the rest of his 300,000 chip stack in preflop holding . Unfortunately for him, he ran square into the of Cy Williams. The board ran down , and Bronshtein headed for the payout desk, while Williams upped his stack to over 500,000.
We did not see the preflop action but did see that the of Hughes was in bad shape against the of Daniel Cascado. The board came giving some extra outs to Hughes, but they would not be realized when the turn and river was dealt. Hughes left the tournament in 21st place.
The action folded to Hiren Patel in the small blind who raised to 40,000. Henry Lu, the big blind, reraised to 84,000 and it was back on Patel. Patel 4-bet to 172,000 and Lu 5-bet shoved. Patel called and the hands were tabled.
Patel:
Lu:
Lu was behind and was the player at risk as they headed to the flop. It came and gave Patel a set. The turn gave Patel quads and Lu was drawing dead. To add a bit of salt to the wound, a came on the river and Lu was sent to the rail in 18th place.
Aleksejs Meless raised it up to 50,000 in middle position, leaving himself just 75,000 behind. Yongshuo Zheng reraised to 100,000, and when it got back to Meless, he moved all in for just 25,000 more. Zheng quickly called.
Meless:
Zheng:
Meless was in rough shape versus the big pair of Zheng, and he never had a sweat, as the board ran down . After winning that hand, Zheng is now up to 860,000.
