Chen Knocks One Out Early

Nível 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Andrew Fields raised it up to 3,700 from the cutoff, and Bill Chen moved all in for his last 20,200 from the small blind. Fields had virtually an identical stack, and he made the call.

Chen: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Fields: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The flop brought plenty of action, coming down {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Fields had flopped top two pair, but Chen had flopped a royal flush draw. Any diamond or ten would do it for Chen, and while the {2-Hearts} on the turn didn't do it, the {10-Hearts} on the river did.

The stacks were counted down, and it was determined that Chen barely had Fields covered, giving him a near full double up to start the day.

Madsen Applying Pressure

Nível 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Jeff Madsen may have come into the day with a less than average chip stack, but that isn't stopping this recent bracelet winner from going to work.

We came in as both players checked the {6-Diamonds} turn with the {q-Spades}{2-Spades}{a-Hearts} flop already on the board. The player in the big blind checked the {4-Diamonds} turn and this time Madsen decided to bet 5,700. After some deliberation, the player decided to fold and Madsen took the pot.

Ausmus Wins Wild Hand on Bubble

Nível 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

A player in early position made it 2,400 to go, and she was called. Next to act was Octo-Niner Jeremy Ausmus, and he reraised to 8,300. The next player to act, Steven Firestone, four bet it to 14,100, and the original two players quickly folded. It was back to Ausmus, who thought for about 30 seconds before announcing all in.

Ausmus and Firestone had virtually even stacks, adn Firestone only thought for about five seconds before open folding {q-}{q-}. It was a great fold, as Ausmus smiled, showed {k-}{k-}, and gave Firestone a fist bump. Ausmus, who started the day with just 11,000, is all the way up to 45,000 after that hand.

Bronshtein Doubles Through Kulcsar

Nível 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

As the bubble money loomed and the tables were waiting for the last table to finish their hand before moving onto the next one, Bronshhtein was lucky enough to double through.

We happened upon the table with a board of {q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and a bet of 7,500 in front of Gergely Kulcsar. Bronshtein tanked for quite a bit before reraising to 27,500. Kulcsar moved all in rather quickly and hand Kulcsar. After taking a deep breath and a few moments of contemplation, Bronshtein made the call for his final 46,600.

Kulcsar quickly turned over {6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} as if he knew he was good but Bronshtein showed {7-Spades}{10-Clubs} for trip sevens and the double up. At the conclusion of the hand, the tournament director announce that the players made the money and the room erupted in applause. The final 270 players are at least guaranteed $2,778.
