Abrams Wins with Shove

Nível 6 : 100/200, 25 ante
Scott Abrams
Scott Abrams

Action folded around to the button, who raised to 400. The small blind then three-bet to 1,100, and Scott Abrams shoved all in from the big blind for over 5,000. The other players folded, and the small blind showed {a-}{10-} before he pushed his cards to the muck. Abrams showed only the {a-Hearts} before adding the chips to his stack, which now sits at 7,000.

Shorr and Cloutier Found

Nível 6 : 100/200, 25 ante
Shannon Shorr (From Event #56, Day 1)
Shannon Shorr (From Event #56, Day 1)

We heard rumors of T.J. Cloutier and Shannon Shorr in the field but we weren't able to find them until now. There are eight tables left in the yellow section of Pavilion and Cloutier was sitting at one of them. He seemed in a friendly mood even calling us over to tell us his chip count.

As we were walking back into the Brasilia room, we noticed Shannon Shorr sitting down with a healthy stack and caught him in the middle of a hand where the flop read {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. He called the 750 bet of the player in middle position, as did the player in the big blind.

Both players checked to Shorr on the {6-Spades} turn and Shorr led for 2,100. The big blind released his hand and the middle position player called. Shorr's opponent check-called a 6,500 bet on the {2-Spades} river. Shorr tabled {7-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a straight and his opponent sent his cards into the muck.

Identical Stacks

Nível 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

Dave Postar bet 600 on the turn with the board reading {3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{k-Clubs}{3-Spades}. His opponent moved all in for 3,275, and Postar went into the tank. After a couple minutes, he slowly pushed forward his stack to call. His opponent turned over {k-Spades}{j-Hearts} for top pair, and Postar had him outkicked with {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. The river was a brick, and Postar won the pot. The players stacks' were very close, and the dealer counted them down to find that, in a rarity after five levels, the players had started the hand with exactly the same number of chips. Postar doubled up, and his opponent was eliminated.

We arrived at the table on the river to see Pius Heinz bet out with the board reading {10-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. The 2011 Main Event winner pushed forward a bet of 2,650. His lone opponent quickly called, and Heinz turned up {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for top two pair. His opponent mucked, and Heinz added the chips to his stick, which is now up to 14,500.
