We missed the betting action, but the aftermath of this recent hand minted a new millionaire, at least in terms of tournament chips.

Dan Gannon's now empty seat had a fallen signaling his demise, while Vinh Pham's showed that he was third best in this confrontation.
With the double knockout, Kalas is among the first players to push above the million chip plateau, which must be especially exciting during the first ever WSOP "Millionaire Maker" event.
Yet another three-way all-in pot has just resulted in an elimination, with David Windmiller's sending an unknown opponent who held to the rail.
Sean Rafael was also involved in the hand, bringing his big stack and {Kc] to the battle, but a final board of meant he was forced to double Windmiller up.
The dealers seem to be delivering quality hands to players simultaneously, leading to multiple cooler situations in which top-ten hands force reasonably deep stacks into the middle. With a goal of reaching the final table by ten levels today, this is definitely an encouraging development.
From under the gun, Keon Sample popped it to 24,000 and watched Alexander Bernard call from late position, as well as Tam Truong from the big blind.
The flop fell and Sample continued with a wager of 35,000, a move which elicited an all-in three-bet of 167,000 from Bernard. Truong quickly got out the way, and after Bernard called, the two players tabled their cards.

Bernard had flopped top pair/top kicker with his ace-jack, but he was trailing the two pair of Sample. The brought no help on the turn, and the on the river sent Bernard packing. Sample now has a big stack to work with as the field continues to shrink.
Nursing a short stack for much of Day 3, Mike Carroll found himself all-in recently, in what has to be a record for three-way all-in pots. With his , Carroll shipped his last 50,000 into the middle, and was called in two spots by the and the .
The flop of gave Carroll a pair, crushing the ragged hand and leaving him to dodge paint on subsequent streets. A on the turn solidified his position, and the on the river meant he could breathe easier, at least for another round or two of blinds and antes.
Scott Clements, Seen Here Stacking on Day 2, Has Been Felted on Day 3
Two-time WSOP bracelet winner Scott Clements just lost most of his chips with a set on the river. We caught the action with the flop reading , and Clements' stack moved in front of him for an all-in bet. His opponent had bet 43,000, and called the reshove of 195,000.
Clements tabled the and found himself ahead of the held by his opponent, but with overcards and a flush draw, the two were virtually flipping for the pot.
The on the turn meant chop possibilities were possible, but the on the river hit both players hard. Clements made a set of tens, but the spade completed a queen-high flush for the other player, and most of the former bracelet winner's chips were sent away.
Clements soon got his last 60,000 or so chips into the middle, and was unable to score a double, ending his deep run here at the WSOP's inaugural "Millionaire Maker" event.
After the player in the cutoff raised to 20,000, the player in the small blind three-bet shoved for about 150,000. Chris Hunichen four-bet shoved from the big blind, isolating the pot.
