Plenty of Extras Being Given Away At This Year's WSOP

Nível 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

The buzz inside the walls of the Rio extends beyond just the tournaments on the 2013 World Series of Poker schedule. Online poker in Nevada is a very, very hot topic right now, and WSOP.com is making a lot of noise.

While the site has yet to launch, you can head to the Lambada Room of the Rio or look for one of the beautiful and friendly WSOP.com ladies walking the hallways to sign up for a free, personal WSOP.com online poker account. This is a great way to get a jump on the site's registration, and plenty of people have already taken this opportunity.

What's more is that the WSOP will be hosting daily raffles for everyone that has taken the time to register for WSOP.com at the Rio. What can you win? Plenty of fantastic prizes including 36 WSOP seats!

Players 21 years of age and older who sign up for a WSOP.com account will automatically be entered into the “36-Seat Giveaway” where a randomly-selected winner will win a seat into the next day’s first WSOP gold bracelet event. One of the events eligible in this promotion is the $111,111 One Drop High Roller No-Limit Hold’em tournament that is expected to feature a $10,000,000 prize pool and allow you to play poker with the biggest names in the game. In total, $182,333 in WSOP seats, including a seat to the WSOP Main Event, are being given away during this one-of-a-kind WSOP.com promotion.

In addition to the 36-Seat Giveaway, a “Hot Seat” promotion will allow any player who signs up for a WSOP.com online account and wears their WSOP.com patch on their chest at the table while playing an event to be randomly selected to receive 500 bonus dollars deposited directly into their WSOP.com online account once the site has received all regulatory approvals and launches.

With 62 WSOP gold bracelet events and three winners promised for the Main Event, this promotion includes $32,000 worth of value to those participating.

Kling Makes a Big Call

Nível 8 : 250/500, 50 ante
Lauren Kling
Lauren Kling

We found Lauren Kling opting to check-call a sizable turn bet with the board reading {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{q-Spades}. The river brought a {k-Clubs}, and Kling checked once more. Her opponent bet 9,700, which covered much of Kling's stack. After going into the tank for about two minutes, she made the call.

"You got it," her opponent said. Kling turned over {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} to take the pot with second pair.

Hinkle Finds Naught but Bricks

Nível 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

We found Blair Hinkle involved in a raising war postflop. His opponent had fired 1,300 on the {q-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Spades} flop, and Hinkle made it 2,600 on the button. His opponent came back with a three-bet to around 5,000, and Hinkle thought for about 30 seconds before softly telling the dealer he was all in. His opponent made the call.

Hinkle: {9-Spades}{8-Spades}
Opponent: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Hinkle's opponent evidently wasn't buying the story Hinkle was selling, as he had called without so much as top pair. Hinkle's hand was plenty live, but the {10-Clubs} and {q-Clubs} finished out the board, and Hinkle was forced to double his opponent up.

Peters Bets a Dry Board

Nível 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

We walked into a hand with David Peters, where he let out a 4,100 bet into a {6-Spades}{9-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} board. His opponent thought long and hard, possibly pondering whether a weak kicker on his king was good enough, before folding a minute later.

Peters took down the roughly 7,000 pot without a flinch. His stack is currently around 44,000.
