Another of the players to register late today and show up right at the end of registration was Brandon Cantu, and it looks like registering late may have paid off for him.
We caught up to Cantu on a flop of 
. There he checked to his opponent who fired out 3,600. Cantu reraised to 9,000 and the player called.
The turn fell the 
and Cantu fired out again, this time for 12,500. Once again his opponent just called.
On the 
river, Cantu bet one more time, this time a bet worth 32,000, which was almost enough to put the player all in. His opponent went into the tank.
"I wouldn't be left with very much here," he said to no one in particular.

Finally, someone was able to beat Brandon Meyers out of a pot, who is the early chip leader with over 270,000 in chips. The player that beat him was Masa Kagawa.
From under the gun, Meyers raised to 1,500. JC Tran called from the cutoff seat, and Kagawa called from the big blind. ON the 
flop, Kagawa checked, Meyers bet 3,000, Tran folded, and Kagawa called.
