Welcome to PokerNews' Day 3 coverage of Event #52: $25,000 No-Limit Hold'em (Six Handed). The starting field of 175 entries is down to just 18 hopefuls, each looking to capture the coveted World Series of Poker gold bracelet, as well as the $1,205,324 first-place prize.
Day 1 chip leader Max Lehmanski leads the way into Day 3 as well with 1,982,000 and is followed by a slew of excellent competitors. Stephen Chidwick is second in chips with 1,782,000 and bracelet-winner Phil Galfond is third with 1,479,000. Dani Stern (1,469,000) and bracelet-winner Steve Sung (1,227,000) round out the top five and are these five are the only ones with seven-figure stacks. Also still in the field is David "Bakes" Baker (291,000), making his eighth cash of the 2013 WSOP and he is looking not only lock up a seat at his sixth final table of the summer thus far, but to capture that elusive third WSOP bracelet. Keith Lehr (449,000) remains as well, looking to better his runner-up performance in last year's $10,000 Six-Handed event.

Kevin Eyster opened to 32,000 from under the gun, David "Bakes" Baker called on the button, and the dealer fanned . Eyster continued for 42,000, Baker raised to 112,000, and Eyster put in a re-raise to an unknown amount. Baker moved all in for 433,000, and Eyster called.

Baker's pair of kings held up as the turn and river came , , and he doubled to nearly a million chips. Eyster plummeted down to 175,000.
With a dead small blind, Marvin Rettenmaier shoved for 130,000 on the button, and Shannon Shorr looked him up from the big blind.

Shorr took the lead when the flop fell , and Rettenmaier found no help on the turn () or the river (). The German was eliminated in 16th place, earning $53,781.
Max Lehmanski raised to 40,000 out of the cutoff, David "Bakes" Baker three-bet to 112,000 on the button, both blinds released, and the action was back on Lehmanski. The German thought for bit then four-bet to 210,000. Baker moved all in for around 900,000, and Lehmanski called.

The dealer spread , leaving Baker drawing dead, and the turn and river came , respectively.
"Payouts!" Baker yelled, smiling.
He's out in 15th place, while Lehmanski now has over three million chips.
Shannon Shorr opened for a raise in the cutoff, then called a three-bet jam from David Benyamine.

There was an ace on the flop, and another on the turn, and Benyamine was unable to hit a jack on the river. He was eliminated in 14th place, while Shorr now has 875,000 chips.
Max Lehmanski opened to 35,000 from the cutoff seat, Steve Sung three-bet to 100,000 out of the big blind, and Lehmanski responded with a four-bet to 237,000. Sung thought for a bit then moved all in for 966,000, and Lehmanski snap-called, having Sung dominated.
Sung did it again in this spot, flopping two pair when the dealer fanned . Lehmanski couldn't find a king on either the turn () or the river (), and Sung doubled to 1.956 million chips.
Lehmanski is still leading with 2.22 million, but had he won the hand, he would have roughly two-thirds of the chips in play.
