Sam Trickett Eliminated

Last year Sam Trickett made it to the heads up stage of the $1.000.000 buy in The Big One for One Drop. He will not make a repeat deep run as he has just been eliminated by former November Niner Jason Senti.

Senti opened the hijack to 3,000 and action folded quickly to Sam Trickett in the big blind. He announced all in and after some counting, it turned out to be 40,300 total. Senti gave it some thoughts, eventually calling by tossing two 25,000 chips into the middle. Trickett had a disgusted look on his face as he tabled {A-Spades}{4-Spades}. Senti was in good shape with his {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

The flop was as bad as they could come for Trickett: {8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. He was about to get up from his seat but the {5-Spades} on the turn was as good as they could come and he sat down again "Oh, straight and a flush draw" commented Johnny Chan in the nine seat. The {2-Clubs} on the river was not one of Trickett's outs though and he left the tournament area.

Palihapitiya vs. Timoshenko

Nível 4 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Chamath Palihapitiya opened for 3,000 only to have Yevgeniy Timoshenko three-bet to 8,000 from the hijack. Action folded back around to Palihapitiya, he made a quick call and the flop came down {j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Palihapitiya proceeded to snap-check-call a bet of 10,000 and then did the same on the {4-Hearts} turn and {8-Hearts} river, albeit for 25,000 and 65,000 respectively.

Timoshenko then tabled the {a-Spades}{4-Spades} for trips and Palihapitiya threw up his hands in frustration.

"Two outer?" Timoshenko asked and he stacked his chips.

"You hit it," Palihapitiya said suggesting that he had pocket aces. "It'd have been interesting to see an ace."

Finger Vaults To The Top

Nível 4 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

As relayed to us, Martin Finger raised from the hijack and and John Morgan called on the button. The flop came down {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts} and shortly thereafter Morgan was all in and at risk {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} against Finger's {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}. The {K-Clubs} turn and {4-Clubs} river locked up the pot for Finger, who is now up to about 750,000.

Mizrachi Finds Three Ladies

Nível 4 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Trevor Pope, who won a World Series of Poker bracelet a few weeks back, opened for 2,400 from middle position and received calls from Daniel Alaei in the cutoff and Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi on the button. The blinds both folded and three players saw a flop of {q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

Two checks put action on Mizrachi and he bet a modest 5,100. Pope then spring to life with a check-raise to 12,200, Alaei folded and Mizrachi made the call. Both players checked the {6-Hearts} turn and then Pope check-called a bet of 25,000 on the {Q-Diamonds} river.

"Trip queens," Mizrachi said and confidently tabled the {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

"Nice hand," Pope said before sending his cards to the muck.
