Rheem Crushing

Nível 3 : 50/100, 0 ante
Chino Rheem
Chino Rheem

We arrived at the table just as Chino Rheem threw out a bet of 250 from the cut-off. His opponent on the button then opted to move all in from the small blind, for 1,300 in chips.

“You want action?” asked Rheem. “Alright,” he added, making the call.

Rheem: {K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Opponent: {K-Spades}{3-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{K-Clubs} to see Rheem eliminate a player, moving up to 11,500 in chips.

Vamplew Gone

The action started with the player in late position opening to 250, before getting called by David Vamplew in the hijack, as well as the player on the button. The flop came down {J-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, as two checks were met with a bet of 325 from the button. The original raiser called the bet, before Vamplew opted to move all in for 2,050 in chips. The player on the button was the only one to call, as both players tabled their cards.

Vamplew: {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}
Opponent: {K-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The turn and river came the {5-Diamonds} and {10-Hearts} to see Vamplew exit straight out the door that was behind his table.

BullDozier

Katie Dozier
Katie Dozier

Katie Dozier looks to be in shove mode here as she is on a short stack. After an under the gun limp, a limp from the cutoff from Erik Cajelais and a limp on the button, Katie Dozier moved all in from the small blind for her final 600 chips.

Everyone folded and Dozier was able to pick up 400 chips without a flop.

Smith Doubles

Nível 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

We arrived at the table to find the player in the hijack opening to 250, before Gavin Smith moved all in for his last 1,000 in chips.

“I’m so tilted. I’m all in. 1,000 American Dollars,” said Smith after moving all in.

He was called, as the players turned over their cards, and watched as the flop came down {7-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}.

Smith: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Opponent: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

“I need a diamond,” asked Smith, who found himself behind against his opponent. “But that will do,” he continued, when the {A-Spades} fell on the turn.

The river brought the {9-Clubs}, guaranteeing Smith the much needed double-up.

“I didn’t want to lay the hammer down straight away,” said Smith. “I wanted some excitement,” he added, hinting he would rather have a sweat coming to the river then the flop or turn.

We’re sure Smith is happy though, moving up to 2,150 after the hand.

Jesse Got Capped

Jesse Capps
Jesse Capps

Our PokerNews.com blogger Jesse Caps is out of the tournament here on day one. Here's what he told us happened:

A player opened under the gun with a raise to 250. Action folded around to Capps in the big blind who made it 650, which the under-the-gun player called.

The board came down {6-}{7-}{8-} rainbow and Capps led out with a bet of 850 and his opponent quickly put him all in. Capps made the call with {A-}{A-}. His opponent turned over {8-}{7-} for a flopped two pair. The board bricked out for Capps and that was all she wrote for our blogger here in this tournament.

After a raise of 250 and a call on a board of {q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} Paul Wasicka had a reraise of 1,000 in front of him. The action went back to the original bettor and he reraised all in. The caller folded and Wasicka made the call for more than half his stack.

Wasicka: {Q-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Player: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

The board completed with a {2-Diamonds} and a {K-Spades} and Wasicka was forced to send over his chips to the other player. After the hand Wasicka was left with 875 chips and soon after he had none as he was eliminated.

Massey Applies Pressure

Nível 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

Aaron Massey opened to 225 from middle position, and found 3 callers, as the four saw the flop come down {6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Massey threw out a continuation bet of 525, which received one call, as the two watched the {K-Spades} come on the turn. Almost instantly, Massey opted to move all in for his last 2,150, which sent his opponent into the tank. Over a minute passed, before the hand was mucked, resulting in Massey taking down the pot.

We passed by Randy "Nanonoko" Lew's table just after break ended and noticed that he was no long seated there, nor did he have any chips in his spot. Here's what he had to say about the ordeal via Twitter:
