Junglen Set is Good

Nível 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

Adam Junglen was at the river of a board reading {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. His opponent was contemplating what to do in an already inflated pot. He eventually put out 5,000. This bet was met by an auto call from Junglen as he tabled a very strong {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. The set was certainly good as his opponent mucked. Junglen moved up to 65,000.

Reynolds Takes One

Nível 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

Melanie Weisner raised to 1,600 on the button, the small blind called, and William Reynolds called from the big blind. The flop came {9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. The small blind checked, and Reynolds bet out for 2,000. Only Weisner called. Both players checked the {3-Clubs} on the turn, and then Reynolds led out for 3200 when the {k-Hearts} fell on the river. Weisner thought for a moment, the slid her cards toward the muck. Reynolds won the pot and is up to 21,000 in chips, while Weisner now has 12,000.

Ladouceur Gets Lucky to Double

Nível 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

Marc-Andre Ladouceur was all in and behind with {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and up against {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}. The chips went in preflop.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. Ladoucer went from being behind to ahead. He had another sweat when the {k-Spades} came on the turn. The river brought the {2-Spades} and that gave Ladoucer the double. He went from extremely short to short after that hand and sits with 11,000.

Op de Woerd Cruising

Nível 10 : 400/800, 100 ante
Frank Op de Woerd
Frank Op de Woerd

PokerNews's own Frank Op de Woerd had a great start at his first table, quickly building his stack up to 14,000 in the first two levels. He later got moved, and stayed fairly stagnant while at that table. However, he won a big pot to end his time at that table, and has just taken down another huge pot to vault to the top of the chip counts.

Action started with the player to Op de Woerd's right raising to 1,800. He flat called, as did the button. The flop came down {k-}{6-}{4-}, and when it was checked to him, Op de Woerd fired 3,600. The button was the lone caller, and on the {10-Spades} turn, he fired out 8,400. Once again he was called, and the {7-Clubs} hit the river. Op de Woerd then shoved all in for around a pot sized bet, having his opponent covered. He was called off, and Op de Woerd showed {a-}{k-} for top pair top kicker. His opponent kicked his hand in, and after stacking up his chips, he was looking at a stack of 89,000, which is right at the top of the counts by our estimation.

Could there be a second bracelet in the works for Team PokerNews?

Salsberg Spars with Lykov

Nível 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

Matt Salsberg raised to 1,800 preflop, and Maxim Lykov three-bet to 4,200. Lykov is seated directly to Salsberg's left, and he's been making it a habit to three-bet when Salsberg raises since he got moved to this table. This time, Salsberg elected to re-raise, and he pushed forward a stack of chips to make the it 16,800 to play. Lykov thought for a moment, and then folded.

Cody Busts

Nível 10 : 400/800, 100 ante
Jake Cody
Jake Cody

Eric Crain raised it up to 1,600 in early position, and the next player to act called. It folded around to Jake Cody on the button, and he three bet it to 3,900, leaving himself about 4,000 behind. The small blind flat called, and Crain got out of the way. The original caller also called, and the flop came {q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}. The small blind led right out for 5,500, and the other opponent folded. Cody stuck the rest of his chips in with a disappointed look on his face, and when the cards were tabled, he saw the bad news he suspected.

Cody: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Opponent: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Cody was in rough shape and in need of an ace, but it never came, as the board completed {7-Hearts} and {q-Spades}, busting the triple crown winner.
