We walked by the table to see Max Pescatori already involved in a hand after registering late here in Event #33.
There was a bet and a call on fifth street and on sixth street Pescatori bet with his board showing /. His opponent had picked up a pair of deuces with his board reading / and one bet was all that it took for him to fold.
With that pot Pescatori is already up above starting stack as he looks to get more chips here on day one.

Donnecha O'Dea and his son Eoghan O'Dea are both playing in tonight's razz event. The father-son duo have had a multi-generational run of success at the World Series. The two of them combined have three Main Event final tables, and Donnecha won a bracelet in pot-limit Omaha in 1998.
At the moment, Donnecha is having more success in this event, sitting with 8,000 in chips, compared to his son's 6,200.

Bill Chen is on the uptick here in Event #33. We just saw him take a relatively big pot here in level three, putting him close to the two-times starting stack mark.

Meanwhile at the table Ben Yu and Shannon Shorr are having a good time probing Chen about his college life and high school years.
"I believe that you haven't done a keg stand before, but I don't buy that you don't know what one is," Yu said to Chen.
"I was on the badminton team," Chen explained.
