According to Oscar Kemps, Gabe Kaplan opened to 1,800 from under the gun, and the action folded to Darvin Moon, who three-bet to 4,000 from the big blind. Kaplan made the call, and the flop fell {k-} {q-} {7-} .

Moon open-jammed for his remaining 55,000 chips, and Kaplan called him immediately. Moon's {a-} {k-} was in bad shape against Kaplan's {q-} {q-} , and the turn and river came {j-} , {4-} respectively.

Moon was eliminated, while Kaplan's stack rocketed over 100,000 chips.

The turn was the {j-Spades} , Lappas moved all in for 16,925, and O'Shaughnessy called.

Pius Heinz raised to 1,350 from middle position and found one caller, Feming Chan in the cutoff. The {5-Hearts} {K-Spades} {J-Diamonds} flop saw Heinz lead out for 1,500, Chan call, and then both players check down the {4-Spades} turn and {9-Diamonds} river.

Heinz apprehensively rolled over {8-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} , but it was good as Chan simply mucked his cards.

Devo's Day is Done

There will be no repeat deep run for Bryan Devonshire, who finished 12th in this event last year. Devonshire came into today with just 22,525, after doubling up in a wild hand to end his day one. However, he wasn't able to get anything going, as he busted a short while ago.

Our field reporter saw that Devonshire was eliminated by an opponent holding , and Devo filled us in on the rest of the details via Twitter:

Yang Loses One; Seated with Former Athletes Stocz and Rink

After a player raised from middle position to 1,300, Jerry Yang called from the small blind and Jeremy Saunders called from the big blind to see the flop come down {6-Spades} {5-Spades} {4-Hearts} . Everyone checked.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} and everyone checked again. The river was the {7-Clubs} and Yang checked before Saunders bet 2,950. The middle-position player folded and action fell back on Yang. He tanked for a couple of minutes before finally making the call.

Saunders tabled the {9-Spades} {8-Clubs} for the nut straight and Yang mucked his hand.

Also at Yang's table are Eric Stocz and Paulo Rink, both former professional athletes. Stocz played football in the NFL while Rink was a professional soccer player in both Brazil and Germany. This should make for an interesting table to track today.

Razavi Sends One Packing

Ashkan Razavi, who won the first-ever $1,500 Re-entry event at this year's World Series of Poker, just eclipsed the 100,000-chip mark after eliminating a player at his table in the Amazon Room. Razavi called a preflop shove with {J-Spades} {J-Clubs} and was flipping against his opponent's {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} , and the board brought Razavi a winning set to eliminate the other player.

Razavi began Day 2 with just under 40,000 chips, but he's nearly tripled that already today.
