Hall Triples

Galen Hall just tripled up after getting all in on the {A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop with the {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} versus two players holding {A-}{K-}. One of Hall's opponents was Chris Lindh, who is participating in the Onnit last-longer sticker contest.

With all three players all in on the flop, the turn was the {4-Hearts} and the river the {J-Clubs}. Hall hit his flush on the turn and tripled up, while the other two chopped up the side pot.

Matusow Put to a Decision

David Chase opened in early position for 1,100 and Mike Matusow called. The flop came {5-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {K-Spades}, Chase bet 1,500 and Matusow called. The turn came {3-Spades}, Chase bet 3,500 and Matusow called. The river came {9-Hearts}, Chase bet 6,500 and Matusow went into the tank.

Matusow had just over 18,000 left in his stack. He counted calling chips, counted his remaining chips and was visibly undecided about his action. He played with his chips for several long moments before he ultimately folded.

Black Sets Up a Double

When we arrived Andy Black's table there was a lot of action going on, with a {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{k-Spades} flop showing and one player having bet 10,500 and one player calling before it was on Black who shoved for around 50,000. The first player folded and the next player called as the hands were turned over.

Black: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Opponent: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Black was in front with his set and it stayed that way as he dodged plenty of bullets, with the {j-Hearts} turn and the {9-Spades} river safe enough for Black to double his stack, and then some.

Wood Getting Bigger

Matthew Woodward check-called a bet from an opponent on a flop of {q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. The turn was the {5-Spades}, Woodward checked again, and his opponent tossed out 5,100. Woodward called.

The {4-Hearts} completed the board, and both players checked. Woodward's opponent shrugged, then tabled {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for ace-high. Woodward tabled {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a pair of fives, and raked in the pot.

Rast Scores One

The cutoff player started the action off in this recent hand by raising it up to 1,500. The button folded, and the small blind called. Next it was on to Brian Rast in the big blind who three-bet to 4,600. The cutoff opted to fold, and the small blind paid to come along for the ride.

The flop came {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} prompting a check from each of the remaining players. The {A-Spades} on the turn brought a bet of 3,000 from the small blind and a call from the big blinded Rast.

The {5-Spades} saw the small blind continue for 6,000. Again Rast made the call and small blind flipped over {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for six high. Rast countered by exposing {K-Spades}{k-Clubs} for aces and kings. Rast was awarded the pot and and now sits over 40,000 in chips.
