One of the most dangerous players left in the field is France's Selim Oulmekki. Oulmekki gained prominence by finishing 4th in a $1,500 WSOP Event in 2011, cashing $251,267. According to insiders here, Oulmekki is even better known for his online pedigree, being closely aligned with some of the best high stakers France has to offer.
Oulmekki has topped the leaderboard throughout the day, but just suffered a massive setback due to a brutal one-outer. According to another journalist, Oulmekki flopped gin with

in a hand against Teresio Ciancanelli.
A lot of money already went in before the 
fell on the river. Oulmekki bet 90,000 and Ciancanelli shoved all in for 160,000. Oulmekki couldn't get away from it, but Ciancanelli showed him the bad news with 
for quad fives and scooped up the enormous pot of over 500,000 in chips.

Just before the break, French pro Sarah Herzali busted from the tournament. According to our French colleagues, Herzali lost her stack in two parts. In the first hand, she ran into the nut flush, setting her back to 15 big blinds.
In the next hand, she went in with pocket jacks, but busted against queen-five when a queen on the flop sealed her fate.
