Brabin's Creativity Not Rewarded

Nível 6 : 250/500, 50 ante
Luke Brabin
Luke Brabin

There was a raise and Jackie Glazier flat-called before Luke Brabin moved all in for what looked like 13,000 out of the blinds. The initial raiser folded but Glazier tossed in three T-5,000 chips for the call. Brabin turned over {8-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} and Glazier was way ahead with {5-Spades} {5-Clubs}.

However, Brabin improved on the {3-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {8-Clubs} flop. The {3-Clubs} turn changed nothing, but the {5-Diamonds} river sure did. Glazier rivered a full house and sent the Accumulator champion to the rail.

Peace Out for Birman

Nível 6 : 250/500, 50 ante
Paul Birman
Paul Birman

Paul Birman raised to 1,200 under the gun and then called when Jack Salter, who finished runner-up in the European Poker Tour Grand Final earlier this year, three-bet to 3,000 from middle position. Birman checked the {2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop and then hit the tank hard when Salter bet 5,050. Several minutes passed before Birman shoved all in for roughly 20,000 and Salter snap-called.

Salter: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Birman: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Birman's overpair was dominated, but he got a sweat as the {10-Clubs} turn delivered him an open-ended straight draw. Unfortunately for him, and much to Salter's relief, the {3-Spades} blanked on the river.

Thomas Doubles Through Moffitt

Nível 6 : 250/500, 50 ante

Russell Thomas was all in for 11,625 on the {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop against John Moffitt. Moffitt had top pair, top kicker with the {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. Thomas had the {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts} for two over cards to the board and an open-ended straight flush draw.

The turn was the {K-Hearts} to give Thomas the lead with a pair of kings. The river completed the board with the {10-Clubs}, and Thomas doubled up.

Karamalikis Watches His Sodium Intake

Nível 6 : 250/500, 50 ante

Paul Birman opened for 1,200 from the cutoff and received calls from Jonathan Karamalikis and Jack Salter on the button and in the small blind respectively. Two checks on the {10-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop saw Karamalikis bet 1,300, only Salter called, and it was heads-up action to the {J-Hearts} turn.

Salter opted to lead out for 3,175, Karamalikis called, and then both players checked the {Q-Hearts} river. Salter tabled the {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for two pair, but it was no good as Karamalikis held a bigger two pair with the {k-Spades}{j-Spades}.

Sylvia Sends Schubert to the Rail

Nível 6 : 250/500, 50 ante

Jesse Sylvia defended his small blind against a raise of Alan Schubert from early position and the latter got his remaining 10,000 chips in after a {7-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {A-Hearts} flop through a raising war with Sylvia. Schubert was at risk with {A-Spades} {10-Spades} and Sylvia held {7-Hearts} {8-Hearts}, the {6-Hearts} on the turn immediately improved the former November Niner to a flush and the {K-Hearts} river didn't help Schubert anymore.
