Gaëlle Baumann

Following an early position raise, Guillaume Rager called and Gaëlle Baumann called in the big blind.

The flop came K610 and action checked to Rager, who bet out for 15,000. Baumann moved all in for 33,000 and Rager made the call. Players flipped their cards, with Baumann at risk.

Nível 16 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Anas Tadini
Anas Tadini

Anas Tadini raised to 8,000 and picked up a call before Rudy Moreno moved all in for 49,000. Tadini made the call and the other player got out of the way. Two players flipped their cards, with Moreno at risk.

Rudy Moreno: JJ
Anas Tadini: K9

Moreno was well ahead preflop with his pocket jacks and the board ran out 35J109 to give him a set of jacks on the flop. Tadini was calling out for his backdoor straight as the river fell, but ultimately it was Moreno who claimed the pot for the double up.

Bubble Drama; Tadini Survives, Houssam Busts, Tsunamy Takes Chip Lead

Nível 18 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Mohamed Houssam

Players, media and spectators gathered round as the official bubble hands were played out. Over on one table, Anas Tadini was all in for 120,000 and was called by Mehdi Lebbadi-Breteau, who had a much bigger stack.

Anas Tadini: 64
Mehdi Lebbadi-Breteau: AQ

It looked like Tadini would be eliminated, but the board ran out J2245. That gave Lebbadi-Breteau a pair of fours on the turn, which was enough for him to double up and survive to make Day 2.

Over on the other table, Mohamed Ali Houssam was all in with a short stack and was called by Javier Tsunamy in the big blind.

Mohamed Ali Houssam: 32
Javier Tsunamy: 92

The board ran out Q25108 to give both players a pair of deuces. Tsunamy's nine kicker played, meaning Houssam was eliminated on the stone cold bubble.

Tsunamy, meanwhile, finishes Day 1a as the chip leader and will return with a decent opportunity to make a run of it on Day 2.
