Dia 1a Concluído
Day 1a of the €500 (5,500 Dirham) Winamax SISMIX Main Event, running at the Casino de Marrakech in the El Saadi Resort, has now concluded.
There were a total of 421 entrants on Day 1a. Of those, 71 made it through to Day 2 and into the money.
Javier Tsunamy is the end of day chip leader with 1,000,000 chips. Tsunamy climbed through the ranks as the day progressed and was responsible for busting Mohamed Ali Houssam on the bubble of the tournament. Whatever happens in the remaining flights, Tsunamy will return as a serious contender on Day 2.
Mehdi Lebbadi-Breteau finished Day 1a close behind in second place with 950,000 chips. He has only a few recorded live cashes to his name and so is well positioned to pick up his biggest ever cash when he returns to the felt.
In third place is Winamax pro Pierre Calamusa with 750,000 chips. In fourth place is another Winamax pro, Davidi Kitai, who bagged 680,000 chips. Abderrahim Ineflas rounds out the top five with 665,000 chips.

Players, media and spectators gathered round as the official bubble hands were played out. Over on one table, Anas Tadini was all in for 120,000 and was called by Mehdi Lebbadi-Breteau, who had a much bigger stack.
Anas Tadini: 6♦4♠
Mehdi Lebbadi-Breteau: A♣Q♣
It looked like Tadini would be eliminated, but the board ran out J♥2♠2♥4♥5♣. That gave Lebbadi-Breteau a pair of fours on the turn, which was enough for him to double up and survive to make Day 2.
Over on the other table, Mohamed Ali Houssam was all in with a short stack and was called by Javier Tsunamy in the big blind.
Mohamed Ali Houssam: 3♣2♣
Javier Tsunamy: 9♦2♦
The board ran out Q♦2♥5♣10♣8♦ to give both players a pair of deuces. Tsunamy's nine kicker played, meaning Houssam was eliminated on the stone cold bubble.
Tsunamy, meanwhile, finishes Day 1a as the chip leader and will return with a decent opportunity to make a run of it on Day 2.

The turn was the K♥. Fryda checked and Mouhtadi bet out again, this time for 21,000. Fryda called again.
The river was the J♦ and both players checked. Fryda showed J♠10♣ for two pair. Mouhtadi mucked and Fryda scooped the pot.
