Gonzalez Knocks Out Zobiela

Nível 26 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Mantas Zobiela
Mantas Zobiela

Late on Day 1c, Mantas Zobiela had battled with Jose Manuel Gonzalez and won a larger pot to deny the Spaniard a bigger lead.

That may have played a role in the large pot that unfolded this time once more. It all kicked off with a raise by Gonzalez and a large three-bet by Zobiela, which led to the {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop. Zobiela bet 80,000 and received a call, which created a pot of around 400,000.

The {9-Hearts} turn was checked by Zobiela, who had around 670,000 behind and Gonzalez then pushed all-in. A long tank by the Lithuanian followed and he eventually called it off when the clock was called on him.

Mantas Zobiela: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Jose Manuel Gonzalez: {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Both were chasing a flush and Gonzalez had the bottom pair to go with it. One flush arrived as the {10-Hearts} fell on the river, knocking out Zobiela in a massive pot.

Mallon Doubles Through Henriques

Nível 26 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

In a preflop coin flip, Daniel Henriques put his hopes on {a-}{k-} while Nills Mallon tabled the {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}.

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Spades}{q-Hearts} and the pocket pair held for Mallon to double for 762,000.

Perez Martin Doubles Through Latinois

Nível 26 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

The cards were on their backs already as David Perez Martin had his last 184,000 in with the {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}. He flipped against table neighbour Malo Latinois with the {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} and improved on the {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop.

An early celebration wasn't punished as the {j-Spades} turn and {q-Hearts} river both kept Perez Martin in contention.

Ly Knocked Out by Mazerolle

Nível 26 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Christian Ly
Christian Ly

Hugues Mazerolla raised it up to 30,000 from under the gun and Christian Ly then three-bet to what appeared to be 80,000 in the big blind. That represented more than half of his remaining stack and Mazerolle wasted no time before moving all-in.

Ly then tanked for an eternity and the clock was called on him before he called it off in the 30-second period.

Christian Ly: {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Hugues Mazerolle: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop gave Ly a gutshot on top of the live cards but he missed on the {2-Spades} turn and {6-Hearts} river to bow out next.

Steady Stream Of Eliminations So Far

Nível 26 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

The field is not quite racing to the exciting stages but all-in showdowns keep happening in both rooms every other minute, which makes it nearly impossible with the six-handed format to keep up on all the eliminations.

After more than three hours of play and the extended bubble period on Day 2, the field has been reduced to the final 170 players and that number is certain to shrink very soon.

Godin Doubles Through Lebrun

Nível 26 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Caleb Godin defended his big blind against a raise by Laure Lebrun and checked the {10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop. Lebrun bet 30,000 only for Godin to shove for 222,000 and Lebrun tank-called just before the clock was called on her.

Caleb Godin: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Laure Lebrun: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The {8-Clubs} turn instantly improved Godin to make the {3-Spades} river a formality. Left with fumes, Lebrun was sent to the payout desk shortly after.

Bifarella Gets Caught Bluffing; Doubles Thereafter

Nível 25 : 7,000/14,000, 14,000 ante

In a battle of the blinds, Nills Mallon had checked the {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs} river and Samuel Bifarella then pushed all-in with the covering stack in the big blind.

Mallon tank-called for more than 350,000 and was good with the {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, as Bifarella only flashed a {7-}{3-} for a bluff gone wrong.

In the very next hand, Bifarella jammed the last 75,000 from the small blind and Yann Chantereau called in the big blind.

Samuel Bifarella: {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Yann Chantereau: {k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

Following the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} board, Bifarella made trips aces and got a few chips back.

Samli Shows Aces

Nível 25 : 7,000/14,000, 14,000 ante

Suleyman Samli raised to 28,000 and was called by Julien Da Silva on the button and the big blind. They checked the {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop and the {10-Hearts} followed on the turn. Once checked to, Samli bet 54,000 and both players folded.

Samli flashed the {a-Diamonds} and Da Silva joked "show the other". That request was granted as the {a-Clubs} was exposed, too.
