Early Eliminations on Day 1b

Nível 6 : 250/500, 500 ante

More than three dozen players have already been eliminated and some of them can be found below.

Seven Deuce For the Win

Nível 6 : 250/500, 500 ante

On the river of a queen-high board with a busted spade flush draw, Nans Bruguiere was spotted leading for 3,500 and Rami Iskandar was his sole remaining opponent. The fold followed and as the pot was pushed to the Frenchman and the board was mucked, he flipped over the {7-Spades}{2-Spades} for a successful bluff.

Iskandar saw the light-hearted side of it and tapped the table with a smile on the face.

Carbo Pushes Gonzalez Around

Nível 6 : 250/500, 500 ante

Following a squeeze to 2,700 by Gerard Carbo, it was Juan Manuel Gonzalez who then made it 7,700 to go. Carbo pushed in all his T-5,000 chips which covered the opponent by a mile and Carbo reluctantly folded.

Early chip leader on the table is Red Diamond player Julian Menhardt.

Showdown Pot for Riolo

Nível 6 : 250/500, 500 ante

French journalist Daniel Riolo, who was invited to participate in the event by Winamax, has been active early on and was involved in a three-bet pot. On the {j-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop he bet 2,500 and his three-bettor before the flop called. The {9-Hearts} turn was checked by both and Riolo called a bet worth 2,000 on the river.

Riolo didn't wait for the cards of his opponent to be shown and exposed his {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} already, as the other player took advantage of that and mucked.

Benitez Back on the Rise

Nível 6 : 250/500, 500 ante

Abraham Benitez re-entered after he was eliminated earlier on and ran up a profit on the second bullet. Just now he faced a bet worth 7,000 by Jose Rodriguez Lopez on the {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} river and called after a few seconds.

Rodriguez Lopez tabled the {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a bluff and Benitez had that beat with the {5-Spades}{3-Clubs} for just the bottom pair.

Lewis Enters Day 1b

Nível 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Romain Lewis was spotted in the field and since he had no special bracelet, the Winamax Team Pro had to fill out the official form. "Is this your first tournament?" one of the French players at the table joked.

In the meanwhile, the table featured a hand between Dien Luong and Jonathan Amasse in which the former bet the {7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{j-Spades}{7-Clubs} river for 2,200. Amasse raised to 6,000 in the cutoff and won the pot right there.

Martin Carmona Catches Podvin Bluffing

Nível 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

In a three-bet pot to the {k-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop, Damien Podvin in the small blind carefully cut out a bet of 1,900 and was called by David Martin Carmona. The {q-Spades} turn was checked and the {j-Hearts} fell on the river. Podvin attempted to gather chips three times and ultimately used four T-1,000 chips before announcing a bet of 3,600.

Martin Carmona instantly called and was shown the {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a bluff, which the Spaniard had beat with {a-Spades}{5-Spades} for the nut flush on a paired board.
