SCOOP-96-H: $5,200 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event 2nd Chance], $1.5M Gtd

Dia 1 Concluído

[Removed:575] Tops 42 Survivors After Day 1 of 2020 SCOOP-96-H: $5,200 Main Event 2nd Chance

Nível 24 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

The 2020 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) is on the home stretch and one week of online poker action remains for the extended schedule to take a shot at earning one of the elusive SCOOP title for the poker resume.

Among the events to kick off was the SCOOP-96-H: $5,200 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event 2nd Chance] and the guarantee was easily surpassed thanks to 324 unique players and additional 141 re-entries. A total field size of 465 entries created a prize pool of $2,325,000 and the top 55 spots locked up a payday of at least five figures whereas the top five finishers will earn six-figure scores.

After 24 levels of 20 minutes each, the bubble burst and 13 players already earned $11,735.67 for their efforts, the next pay jump will be locked up with 39 players remaining as 42 contenders advanced to the penultimate day.

One of the players to fire the maximum of three bullets in the event was Jans "[Removed:566]" [Removed:565] and that proved to be a golden decision as he topped the Day 1 survivors with a massive stack of 9,351,977. Second-placed "temka99" from Moldova is nearly three million in chips behind and has 6,393,999 to his name while Michel "FreelancerZZ" Dattani rounds out the overnight podium with a stack of 5,356,025.

There are plenty further well-known poker pros in contention and Alex "dynoalot" Difelice is eying another major result after his third-place finish in the SCOOP-74-H: $10,300 Main Event. Difelice made it through as one of the shorter stacks with 1,823,622, as did former SCOOP-H Main Event champion Charlie "Epiphany77" Carrel (1,500,796), Pavel "silentm0de" Plesuv (1,337,314) and Mike "gorodski" Gorodinsky (1,228,748).

No fortune for the PokerStars ambassadors

Many other big names of the live and online poker world departed without anything to show for. The PokerStars ambassadors had a rough day on the felt as Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis and Fintan "easywithaces" Hand bowed out with kings. Veldhuis bought back in but didn't get anything going to depart with fours versus eights. Ben "Spraggy" Spragg check-called three barrels with aces and was shown a flopped set of sevens and rivered full house. Last but not least, Ramon "RamonColillas" Colillas ran with ace-jack suited into aces and caught no miracle.

Others that bowed out before the money were notables such as Calvin "cal42688" Anderson, Kahle "ROFLshove" Burns, Michael "imluckbox" Addamo, Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz, Niklas "Lena900" Astedt, football striker Neymar Jr, Artur "mararthur1" Martirosyan, Connor "blanconegro" Drinan, and Patrick "pads1161" Leonard.

Former SCOOP-H Main Event champion Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi was eliminated close to the money bubble with ace-king suited versus jacks and current title holder "Alexgirs" exited with queens versus kings. The unfortunate bubble boy was Canada's "m.a-0000" when his kings failed to hold up against the pocket eights of Michel "FreelancerZZ" Dattani, who rivered a four-card flush.

Michel Dattani
Michel \"FreelancerZZ\" Dattani is third in chips after Day 1

Once the bubble had burst, Jans "[Removed:566]" [Removed:565] skyrocketed into the lead after he won a big three-way all-in with aces versus queens and sixes, then rivered the nut flush when his opponent "psjebemvas" fired three barrels with a jack-high flush draw and hit the river to bust with the inferior flush.

The action will resume on Monday, May 25th, 2020, as of 1.05 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and the penultimate tournament day will conclude once the final table of the last nine has been determined. Returning blinds in level 25 will be 35,000-70,000 with a running ante of 8,750 and all levels will last 30 minutes each for the remainder of the event.

Stay tuned right here on PokerNews to find out who makes it through another day and remains in contention for the top prize of $416,741.68 and next high stakes SCOOP title.

Nível 24 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

Full chip counts and a recap of today's action are to follow.

"Lindk25" Doubles Through Adams

Nível 24 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

Lindk25" raised to 795,454 with 1,525 behind in the cutoff and Timothy "Tim0thee" Adams pushed from the small blind. "Lindk25" used his time bank to see if he could make a pay jump at 39 players remaining but there were no other all-in showdowns in sight, thus he called all-in.

"Lindk25": {a-Spades}{8-Spades}
Timothy "Tim0thee" Adams: {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The board came {q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades}{a-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for "Lindk25" to flop a pair and flushdraw, turn two pair and hold up on a blank river to double in the last hand of the night.

More Late Casualties on Day 1

Nível 24 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

"bensiggins" got it in with {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} out of the big blind but was dominated by "temka99" with the {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}. The {j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{2-Hearts} board ensured that there was no coming back for "bensiggins" after the turn already.

"Chelsea77" was ahead with {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} against the {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} of Aleksejs "APonakov" Ponakovs but the {9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{j-Hearts} delivered the jack on the river.

Alexandru "steakaddict." Papazian was also among those to fall in the first payout step still when he lost a flip with {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} against Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson with the {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. A board of {10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs} awarded the pot to Mattsson with deuces full of jacks.

As others departed, Mike "gorodski" Gorodinsky survived an all-in showdown at the same table a few hands later. Down to just over 10 blinds, Gorodinsky was at risk on the button with {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and "EliteInk" as initial raiser called with the {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

The board came {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Clubs}{j-Clubs} to keep Gorodinsky in contention.

Post Bubble Bonanza Vaults [Removed:565] Into Huge Stack

Nível 24 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

In a big three-way all-in right after the money bubble had burst, former chip leader "hotmark777" saw his stack decimated a ton when he clashed with Jans "[Removed:566]" [Removed:565] and a short-stacked Rui "RuiNF" Ferreira was caught in the crossfire.

Rui "RuiNF" Ferreira: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Jans "[Removed:566]" [Removed:565]: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
"hotmark777": {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The {8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} board almost saw "hotmark777" get there with running clubs but he dropped to 1.4 million instead.

[Removed:566] busts RuiNF and doubles through hotmark777
[Removed:566] busts RuiNF and doubles through hotmark777

As other players busted left and right, "hotmark777" was one of the casualties shortly after when he was all-in blind-on-blind with Andrey "Anjeyyy" Novak.

"hotmark777": {k-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Andrey "Anjeyyy" Novak: {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

Board: {j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{5-Hearts}

Novak's ace on the turn cemented the lead and "hotmark777" failed to catch a trey for the straight.

The same table featured yet another elimination as Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood jammed the small blind with {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and was called by Michel "FreelancerZZ" Dattani in the big blind with the {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

No diamonds, overcards and broadway showed up on a {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades} board.

That wasn't all for that table as "psjebemvas" on the button clashed with [Removed:565] in the small blind, who check-called three barrels on a {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs} board. "psjebemvas" tabled {j-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a jack-high flush but [Removed:565] had that beat with {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for the nutflush.

"m.a-0000" Bubbles

Nível 23 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

The bubble has burst eventually and it is Canada's "m.a-0000" who came up short of a five-figure cash when he jammed the cutoff for fewer than eight blinds and was isolated by Michel "FreelancerZZ" Dattani in the small blind.

"m.a-0000": {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Michel "FreelancerZZ" Dattani: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}

On a board of {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, the bubble burst in cruel fashion as Dattani hit a four-card flush.
