Welcome to Day 1 of the 2020 SCOOP-74-L: $109 NLHE Main Event

Day 1 of the PokerStars 2020 Spring Championship of Online Poker -74-L: $109 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event] kicks off at 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST).

This four-day event boasts an impressive $3.5 million guarantee in the prize pool. All participants start with 25,000 in chips. Levels 1 to 17 will be 20 minutes long and levels 18+ will be of 15 minutes.

Late registration remains open for 24 hours and up to three re-entries will be allowed during the late registration period. There will be a 5-minute break every 55 minutes past the hour.

All participants get 60 seconds of time bank to use when normal time to act has expired and additional time will be added every few levels.

Day 1 will break at the completion of Level 17 and action will resume on May 18th at 1:05 p.m. EST for Day 2 action.

Notable Players such as Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" Kanit, Joao "Naza114" Vieira, Preben "prebz" Stokkan, and Steve "Mr. Tim Caum" O'Dwyer have already secured a 2020 SCOOP title. Who will join them on the list of the 2020 SCOOP champions?

A mouth-watering $135 million in guarantees is up for grabs in this year's extended 2020 Spring Series of Online Poker (SCOOP) on PokerStars, each featuring their own low, medium, and high buy-in for a total of 240 poker tournaments.

Jonathan “Corback_fr” Therme has been playing both online and live poker for “a long time”. Last Sunday, he scored the biggest win of his career, picking up life-changing sums and a serious set of accolades.

Therme outlasted a field of 3,419 entries to take down the SCOOP 44-M special edition Sunday Million, earning $216,617. We spoke with the champ to get his thoughts on the win.

“It’s completely insane. I’m still struggling to realize. I’ve been waiting a long time for something this big to happen, but I knew I could do it. I worked a lot in the last months on my game and my mind with the help of some friends, and I’m glad it’s starting to pay off,” says Therme.
