Day 2 Action

At the start of Day 2 things got off to a hot start with many all-ins early on. Team PokerStars Pros Fintan "easywithaces" Hand, Alejandro "[Papo]AR" Lococo, and Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis all hit the rail within the first couple levels.

Other PokerStars Team Pros that made deep runs but couldn't close out a Day 3 finish included Rafael "GM_VALTER" Moraes (77th - $25,102), Sam "SamSquid" Grafton (64th - $25,102) and Ben "Spraggy" Spragg (61st - $30,595) whos pocket twos fell short to the ace-ten of Day 1 chip leader Thorsten "juicetus" Legit.

Mataos bagged a healthy stack of 7,497,056 and can thank his well timed pocket kings against the ace-king for 2014 WSOP Main Event winner Martin "M.nosbocaJ" Jacobson who couldn't find improvement and was sent out in 91st place, only four spots away from the money.

Kovalski Runs Into a Cooler

Thomas "WushuTM" Muehloecker
Thomas "WushuTM" Muehloecker

In a heads-up pot with 448,000 in the middle on a flop of {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, both Fabiano "Kovalski1" Kovalski in the big blind and Thomas "WushuTM" Muehloecker in the hijack checked their options to the {9-Diamonds} turn.

Kovalski took the lead with a bet of 320,000 and Muehloecker quickly called. The {2-Hearts} hit the river and Kovalski sized up to 1,440,000, more than the size of the pot.

Muehloecker took a few seconds before moving all in and Kovalski called for his last 133,000 but was shown the bad news when Muehloecker rolled over {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a full house. Kovalski tabled {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for turned trips and was sent to the exit in 45th place.

"SerVlaMin" decided on a check and Moorman sized to 490,000. Once again "SerVlaMin" put in a check-raise to 1,365,000 and after some deliberation, Moorman called.

The {k-Clubs} completed the board and "SerVlaMin" moved all in for 3,432,210, only covering Moorman by one big blind. Moorman quickly folded and the massive pot was sent to "SerVlaMin" as Day 2 inches closer to the end.
