Top Pair for Harpreet Gill

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

There was already 8,000 in the pot, on a board reading {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, and Harpreet Gill checked from early position.

The player in the hijack bet 3,500 and Gill quickly called.

The river was the {6-Hearts}. Gill announced a check, and his opponent tanked for a minute before checking back.

Gill tabled {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} for top pair and raked in the pot.

Alberto Pinilla Busts One

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Alberto Pinilla was in middle position and raised to 850. Javier Zapatero was in the big blind and decided to defend.

The flop came {q-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Spades} and Zapatero checked. Pinilla bet 1,200 and Zapatero instantly moved all in for about 7,000. Pinilla snap-called.

Pinilla: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Zapatero: {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

Both players held a big pair, but Pinilla held the lead and dominated even further with the superior spade.

The turn was the {2-Hearts} and the river was the {7-Clubs}, sending Zapatero to the rail.

Poor Start for Cody

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Jake Cody
Jake Cody

Jake Cody isn't exactly off to the races, as he has less than one-third of the starting stack after dropping a recent pot.

He was already down to 20,000 or so when he opened on button for 800 and James Salmon defended his big blind. Salmon came out betting with 1,250 on the {3-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop, and Cody called. Salmon fired again for 2,700 on the {7-Clubs} turn, and Cody again called. On the {a-Spades} river, Salmon checked. Cody bet 2,400 and Salmon thought briefly before calling.

The PokerStars Team Pro turned over {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for a straight but had to muck that upon seeing Salmon held {5-Spades}{2-Spades} for a flopped straight and a rivered flush.

Greenwood Eliminates Ramos

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Felipe Ramos
Felipe Ramos

Just before the break, Luc Greenwood bet 3,000 out of the big blind on a {3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop, and PokerStars Team Pro Felipe Ramos called. The turn double-paired the board with the {2-Diamonds}, and Greenwood bet enough to put Ramos all in for just over 16,000. The Brazilian thought a bit and opted to call it off.

Greenwood: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Ramos: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Ramos knuckled the table in submission and the two watched an {a-Hearts} fall, sealing Ramos' demise.
