Hinderoth Gets a Bunch Back from Barbero

Nível 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Sebastian Hinderoth, the player who missed a flush draw against Nacho Barbero just a bit ago, shoved on Barbero in a huge pot after {2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flopped. Barbero was in the big blind and had a wager of 25,000 in front of him, and the shove was 47,150 total. Barbero decided to fold after some thought.

"Show the queen-ten," Jason Koon urged.

Someone else echoed that, and Hinderoth turned his cards over after holding them over the muck: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}.

Mehmet Ayaz Sent Back to Norway

Nível 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

The exact details escaped us, but we do know that Norway's Mehmet Ayaz and Canada's Salomon Benarroch engaged in a raising war on the turn with the board reading {2-}{10-}{j-}{q-}. The former got his last 15,000 or so in the middle and the latter quickly called.

Benarroch: {a-}{k-}
Ayaz: {j-}{j-}

Ayaz needed the board to pair to stay alive, but that didn't happen as a {4-} bricked on the river. Benarroch chipped up to 37,000 after the hand.

Marco Rave Protects His Blinds

Nível 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

The player under the gun raised to 725. Action folded around to Marco Rave in the small blind and he thought for a moment before putting in a three bet to 2,400. His opponent called.

The flop came {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Rave checked. The under-the-gun player bet 2,800 and Rave quickly called.

The turn was the {8-Spades} and both players checked to the river, which was the {6-Diamonds}. Rave wasted no time and led out for 6,000. His opponent quickly folded.

Tollerene Loses a Flip

Nível 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

After a raise to 825 in middle position and a late-position call, Ben Tollerene made it 4,000 to go in the small blind. The original bettor folded, and the called decided he was going with his hand, putting in his 10,000 stack. Tollerene called with {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and saw he was racing against {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}. The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, and Tollerene sent about half of his stack away.

Barbero Holds

Nível 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Three players had large piles of chips counted out in front of them on a {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop when we arrived to a table in the corner of the room. A player under the gun had 14,000 and was thinking things over, with Nacho Barbero all in a couple of seats over for a bit over 33,000. A third player behind had put in enough to call and still had plenty back, so the player who bet 14,000 decided to fold.

Barbero: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Barbero faded the hearts and the chops as the {2-Spades} turn was followed by a {4-Diamonds} river. He said he had been wishing both players called, which surprised a couple of other players.

"I thought they both have sets," Barbero explained. "I thought [the under-the-gun player] had sixes and he had nines because he snap-called."

The under-the-gun player claimed he did muck a set.

Tito Ortiz Stuck in Reverse

Nível 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Jose Da Silva Paulo Demeyere opened for 600 from the cutoff and Tito Ortiz called from the button. Canadian PokerStars qualifier Martin Kus then three-bet to 1,750 from the small blind and both Demeyere and Ortiz called.

When the flop came down {10-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, Kus led out for 1,925 and that did the trick as both his opponents folded.

Haxton Axed

Nível 4 : 150/300, 50 ante
Isaac Haxton
Isaac Haxton

Isaac Haxton raised preflop and got a couple of callers, seeing {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop. He bet 700 into approximately 2,500, and Davidi Kitai called on the button. Julian Stuer put in a raise out of the big blind, and Haxton committed his remaining chips, around 4,600. Stuer quickly called when Kitai mucked.

Haxton: {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Stuer: {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Stuer needed a fourth diamond on board and found one in the {6-Diamonds} river after a {3-Clubs} turn.

De Mario Eliminated by Kitai

Nível 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Mike Watson raised to 800 from early position, and Massimo De Mario moved all in for 4,050 from the button.

Davidi Kitai was in the big blind and asked for a count of Waston's stack. Watson broke down his chips for him, and Kitai opted to call De Mario's all in. Watson quickly folded.

To De Mario's disappointed, he was well behind Kitai.

Kitai: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
De Mario: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{a-Spades}{9-Spades} and De Mario was eliminated.

De Mario bet $50 on himself at 350-1 odds to win the event, according to the PokerStars Blog. That $50 is gone now, and so are his chips.
