Day 1b of the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS UK Open has come to an end after eight hours of poker with Poland's Lukasz Grossmann the only player to bag over 10 million in chips.
The action got underway at 5 pm with Day 1b the second opportunity of the day for the players to take part in the Open after the first starting flight began at Noon. Day 1b saw 203 entrants take part but only 61 remained at the close of play.
Grossmann bagged a very impressive 10,860,000 to take the chip lead with Graeme Cairns (7,210,000), Sylvia Hewitt (6,700,000), David Johnson (6,805,000), Adam Bone (6,500,000) and Sebastian Pawlak (6,395,000) also taking healthy stacks into Day 2.
Hewitt has already tasted success at Dusk Till Dawn with her top three live results all coming at the home of U.K. poker here in Nottingham for a combined total of £95,000.
Well-known faces Benny Glaser (3,500,000), Jack O'Neill (3,245,000), Dan Clark (2,905,000), Andy Hills (2,700,000), Andreas Olympios (2,370,000), partypoker ambassador Marcel Luske (2,180,000), Jonty Willis (1,965,000) and Tom Hall (770,000) also progressed.
Players will return for Day 2 on Monday, October 1, at 3 PM local time. Players that aren’t happy with their current stack can choose to reenter on any of the other starting flights. Their biggest stack will go forward and their other stacks will be taken out of play. There are three more flights to come starting with Day 1c at noon tomorrow, Sunday, September 30.

Strudwick was in bad shape preflop but came front behind when he spiked a four on the flop. The turn and river cards were no help to Jones, and he was left with just 600,000 as Strudwick doubled to 2.4m.
Jones was unable to find a double of his own and exited the Open Day 1b just a couple of hands later when he ran king-jack into ace-jack and found no help from the board.

The board was down 
, and with around 500,000 in the pot, Jonty Willis bet 185,000 from the big blind. He was heads-up against the player in the cutoff who called Wills' bet and saw a 
river. Willis quickly checked, and his opponent bet 450,000.
Willis smiled as he contemplated what to do and after 30 seconds he threw the chips into the middle to call. His opponent seemed to concede the pot by not revealing his hand and once Willis had flipped over 
for two pair his opponent mucked and Willis moved up to 3.1m chips.
