A Little Double for Zeiter

Nível 18 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Kelly Saxby raised to 360,000 from the cutoff and Diego Zeiter three-bet shoved from the big blind for about 1,200,000. Saxby quickly called to put Zeiter at risk and the two players tabled their hands.

Saxby: {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Zeiter: {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Zeiter had the preflop advantage with the better ace and Saxby needed to improve in order to end Zeiter's tournament. The board ran out {Q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{7-Hearts} which kept Zeiter's hand best, so he took the pot to double up.

Schillhabel Doubles Through Karlic to Become the Chip Leader

Nível 17 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Stefan Schillhabel
Stefan Schillhabel

There was about 1,000,000 already in the pot and the board read {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts} when we got the the table. Gerald Karlic was in late middle position and heads-up against Stefan Schillhabel, who was on the button. Karlic checked, Schillhabel bet 470,000, and Karlic called.

The turn brought the {2-Hearts} and both players checked.

The {3-Diamonds} fell on the river and Karlic bet 3,750,000. After some consideration, Schillhabel shoved for what looked like about 7,000,000. Karlic called and Schillhabel instantly tabled {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}. His set of aces was best, as Karlic tossed his hand into the muck and the dealer pushed the massive pot Schillhabel's way. He is now the chip leader and the only player with a stack over the 20,000,000-chip mark.

Aces are Good for Perceval

Nível 17 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Rubern Perceval and Vincent Tremblay were engaged in a battle of the blinds, and after a flurry of activity on the {Q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop, it looked like there were about 3,800,000 chips in the pot when we got to the table.

The {10-Diamonds} fell on the turn and Perceval bet 1,600,000 from the small blind. Tremblay called.

The river brought the {10-Hearts} and Perceval bet again, 2,825,000 this time. Tremblay went into the tank and the clock was eventually called. Shortly after tournament staff arrived at the table and started the 60-second countdown, Tremblay called. Perceval tabled {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}, Tremblay mucked, and Perceval took the sizeable pot.

Schillhabel Takes from Kempe

Nível 17 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

There were already about 1,400,000 chips in the middle and the board read {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{7-Clubs} when we got to the table. Rainer Kempe was under the gun and heads-up against Stefan Schillhabel in the cutoff. Kempe was facing a decision for 500,000 and raised to 1,600,000. Schillhabel called.

The turn brought the {7-Spades} and both players checked.

The {4-Clubs} fell on the river and they checked again. Schillhabel flipped over {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, having paired his queen on the flop. Kempe tossed his cards into the muck and Schillhabel took the pot.
