2014 PokerStars.com EPT Season 11 Prague
Now there's something you don't see very other day. Well, technically we didn't see it, but EPT London winner Ruben Visser was kind enough to fill us in on the details about how he acquired such a big stack by telling the story about him hitting a straight flush.
Visser told us that someone in front of him had opened for 700 and Visser had called with on the button. The big blind came along for the ride and checked to the initial raiser on . The pre flop aggressor bet out 1,200 and both Visser and the big blind called.
All three of them checked on the turn, so the river was seen by the three of them on a discount. The big blind lead out for 2,400 and the initial raiser made the call. Visser raised it up to 7,900 and found his customer in the big blind who made the call. Visser showed his straight flush and his opponent mucked.

Sin Melin, a U.K. circuit regular, is playing in her first EPT Main Event today and was enjoying a massage at the table in a recent hand. While that may be relaxing, the fact that she has Martin Finger to her direct left is less conducive to an easy time at the poker table.
Melin opened for 650 on the button and got called by Finger in the small blind and the player in the big blind. Three players saw a flop of and it was checked around.
The turn card was the and Finger now led out for 1,000 which got called by both opponents.
On the river Finger bet again, this time a more substantial 5,200. The player in the big called and Melin mucked her cards. Finger had it, turning over for the straight and his opponent mucked.

Asher Neaman limped in from under the gun as did Frederik Reusch from the cut off. Ilan Boujenah was on the button and raised it up to 1,125 as the blinds got out of the way. Neaman made the call before Reusch threw out a three-bet to 3,375. Boujenah couldn’t grasp how the hand was playing out and opted to fold. Neaman made the call before both players watched the flop come down .
Neaman checked his option before Reusch threw out a continuation bet of 3,000. It was called instantly before the delaer produced the on the turn. Neaman checked and Reusch reached for his chips. A bet of 6,050 was pushed into the middle and Neaman confirmed with the dealer what the bet amount was.
He then moved all in over the top for approximately 21,000 in chips and Reusch froze. The bet was too large and he ended up folding his hand.
“Please show me what you had,” begged Boujenah following the hand.
Reusch just grinned and shook his head as Boujenah couldn’t believe what happened.
“I had jacks,” he added, now pondering whether he made the right move.
“I had aces,” replied Neaman, much to the surprise of his two opponents as well as others at the table.
“I didn’t want to scare anyone away with all the raising pre flop,” he ended.
The discussion went on for several minutes as small talk circled the table.

The PokerStars video team found a couple of poker players and media members crazy enough to do a poker version of the song 'The Twelve Days of Christmas'. It's probably a good thing they didn't try to make careers in performing.
Stephen Chidwick opened from early position and picked up one caller in the big blind.
The flop of was checked and on the turn card Chidwick called a bet of 1,000.
The river card was checked over to Chidwick who gave his opponent a cold stare and bet 3,000. The player in the big blind didn’t seem convinced and made the call.
Chidwick turned over the old for trips and the chips were pushed his way.
