Mavritsakis Makes Two Pair

Nível 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Panagiotis Mavritsakis opened 16,000 in early position, and Rui Bouquet called in the cutoff before Antoine Talvard did the same in the big blind.

The 642 flop hit the felt, and Talvard checked before Mavritsakis continued for 23,000. Only Bouquet called.

On the K turn, both players proceeded to tank for two minutes before checking, repeated on the J river. Mavritsakis tabled J4, making two pair and Bouquet mucked.

Barzantny's Ace-King Doesn't Hold Nearing Bubble

Nível 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

After a series of raises, Wojciech Barzantny called off his stack of about 100,000 against Nazar Buhaiov.

Wojciech Barzantny: AK
Nazar Buhaiov: J9

Barzantny was in great shape to double up as the 1064 flop hit the felt, but the J turn gave Buhaiov a pair of jacks to take the lead, and Barzantny couldn't catch one of his outs to remain in the tournament as the 6 completed the board.

Guerrero Hero Calls on the Bubble

Nível 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

The pot stood at approximately 150,000 with two players looking at a full board of 391047.

Omar Del Pino, who was under the gun, placed a sizeable bet of 115,000, sending opponent Antonio Guerrero, in early position, into the tank.

Guerrero thought for several minutes before the clock was finally called, prompting him to make the call. Del Pino tabled A10 for top pair; good enough to ship him this massive pot and leave Guerrero short.

Naets Bluffs Almost All of It

Nível 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Sylvain Naets raised 10,000 in early position, and both Jose De Andrade in the small blind, and Shayane Gredoire in the big blind made the call.

When the KQ8 flop hit the felt, the action checked to Naets who continued for 10,000. This time only Gredoire called.

The 2 turn was checked through to see the 3 river. Gredoire checked once more, and Naets dropped a stack of blues across the line for a bet of 70,000.

Gredoire went into the tank, talking aloud. "Did he say all-in?" He asked the dealer as he looked at Naets' stack of only 6,000 behind.

"Would you do this without a king? I don't have a king," he continued.

Eventually, he decided to fold and Naets showed A9 for ace-high.

Sean Jazayeri: AK

This flip fell in the favour of Kozlenko as the board ran out 3J362; Kozlenko found the full double up.

Stropoli Can't Dodge the Flush

Nível 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Frederic Hebette opened 13,000 in early position and the action folded to Julien Stropoli in the big blind. He went into the tank for several minutes, and eventually, time was called. The floor gave 30 seconds to act, and with 10 seconds left, he made the call.

The dealer spread a flop of [asts34s], and Stropoli checked to Hebette who fired 100,000 across the line. Stropoli gave it some thought before sigh-calling off his stack of about 64,000.

Julien Stropoli: AJ
Frederic Hebette: QJ

Stropoli was ahead with a pair of aces, but the 7 turn and 8 river gave Hebette a flush, sending Stropoli home nearing the bubble.
