Chidwick Overbets the River; Martirosian Pays Off Petrangelo

Kisacikoglu check-folded after Chidwick made an overbet of 16,000.

On a nearby table, Nick Petrangelo raised to 4,500 from the button, and Artur Martirosian called from the big blind. Coincidentally, the action also checked through to the river with the board showing the K♠J♣8♠9♦A♠. Martirosian checked, and Petraneglo fired for 9,000. After using up a time bank, Martirosian called.

Petrangelo tabled his J♠6♠ for a flush and his opponent mucked.

The flop came J♥A♣10♠ and Kisacikoglu continued for 2,500 chips. Davies made the call and action went to the turn, which was the 8♣. Kisacikoglu used a time bank before checking and Davies but out a bet of 15,000. This proved too much for Kisacikoglu, who made the fold.

Santhosh Suvarna is one of the latest entries into the €100,000 Super High Roller. His last EPT cashes were from EPT London, which took place last November.

He finished in tenth place in the £10,300 High Roller for £35,750 ($41,312) a few days after being the runner-up at the series' £3,000 Mystery Bounty for a further £96,700 ($109,380). He also booked a third final table after securing sixth place in a £1,000 PLO side event which paid him £5,650 ($6,391).

Mikalai Vaskaboinikau has also joined the field, whose last EPT cash was in Barcelona in 2022. In the €50,000 High Roller, he netted himself a €330,840 ($339,637) payday. Vaskaboinikau stands to be a formidable opponent with live cashes totalling $2,773,662.

Action checked through on the Q♦J♥2♥ flop to the 8♠ turn. Kisacikoglu bet 2,500 and both Pardo and Davies folded.

The end of the hand marked the start of the first 20-minute player break.

Heath Turns Flush Against Mokri's Pair

The flop came J♠2♥6♠. Mokri checked, Heath bet 2,500 and Mokri reraised to 10,500. Heath made the call. Action went to the turn, which came 8♠. Mokri bet 9,500 and Heath called.

The river was the 8♦. Mokri used a time bank card before eventually betting for 16,000. Heath also threw in a time bank card and then made the call.

Mokri showed A♥J♥ for two pair with his jacks and the eights on board. Heath showed 5♠4♠ for a turned flush and scooped the pot.

Ponakovs Continues to Frustrate Haxton

Aleksejs Ponakovs raised to 3,000 from the small blind, and Isaac Haxton defended his big blind to see the A♠8♦2♦ flop. Both players opted to check through to the turn, which brought in the 9♦. Ponokovs bet 6,500 and Haxton wasted little time in calling.

The 3♠ completed the board, and Ponakovs bet 33,000 into a pot of 19,000.

"Thirty-three?" questioned Haxton, as he seemed surprised by his opponent's sizing. He decided to fold after some moments and let out an audible sigh shortly after. The pair played a hand against each other in Level 1 where Ponokovs first folded out Haxton on the river.

There was 31,500 in the middle from the three-bet pot between Alex Kulev and Christoph Vogelsang.

On the 10♠7♠3♠ flop, Kulev bet 6,000 from the big blind, and Vogelsang called from the cutoff.

Kulev sized up to 26,000 on the Q♠ turn and Vogelsang folded.

On the next, Vogelsang raised from the hijack before Vicente Delgado made it 13,500 from the button. Vogelsang called to play consecutive three-bet pots.

Vogelsang check-called for 6,500 on the J♦7♥3♣ flop before action checked through on the K♣ turn to the 8♠ river. Vogelsang led out for 54,000, which prompted Delgado to use up two of his time banks before moving all in for 191,000.

Vogelsang thought it over and asked for a count before giving it up and returning his hand to the dealer.
