A board of 8♣7♦10♦5♦ was spread in a pot between Bruno Fitoussi in the under-the-gun position and Kayhan Mokri in the cutoff. Fitoussi bet 25,000 chips and Mokri quickly called.
The river brought the 3♥ and Fitoussi went all in, covering his opponent's stack of roughly 150,000. Mokri questioned his life choices out loud but ended up calling it off with an indifferent look. Fitoussi showed a flopped set with 7♣7♥. ''That's good,'' Mokri stated, as he tabled his A♣8♥ before asking the floor where the payout desk was located.
The action was picked up in a pot of roughly 250,000 on a completed board showing K♦9♥3♣7♣J♦. Peter Kvisthammar checked from the big blind to Day 1c chip leader Inigo Naveiro on the button, who took his time before sliding out a stack of 25,000-chips for a large bet of 500,000, covering the 360,000 behind for Kvisthammar, who went deep in the tank.
After more than a minute of deliberation, Kvisthammar reluctantly let his cards go and the pot was sent to Naveiro who surpassed the million chip mark.
Ido Aboudi was all in for 176,000 against Abraham Serrano, who had his opponent covered.

The flop of A♥6♥2♣ didn't change anything, but the 8♣ appeared on the turn to give Aboudi a set and Serrano let out a sigh before the 5♠ bricked off on the river.
Benjamin Spragg raised to 16,000 from the cutoff and got called by Franck Dechaud in the big blind. The pair saw a 9♥4♣8♣ flop, on which Spragg fired a continuation-bet of 16,000 after a check from Dechaud. Dechaud called before both of them checked the Q♦ turn.
On the 5♠ river, Dechaud led for 40,000. Spragg did not give the hand much more thought as he quickly mucked his cards.
Spragg started today with a stack of around 50 big blinds, but he has lost a few chips since start of play. Combined with the increased blinds, he is now playing a stack of roughly 20 bigs.

Unsurprisingly, the most represented country here on the Monaco coast is France with 381 players, more than a third of the overall field (35.57%). The next most represented country is Italy with 162 entrants (15.13%) – meaning the two European countries make up just over half of the field — and the next closest is Switzerland with 40 players (3.73%).

There are plenty of other European countries represented, including Germany (37 players - 3.45%), Spain (37 players - 3.45%), Romania (34 players - 3.17%), Ukraine (17 players - 1.59%) and Greece (16 players - 1.49%).
Outside of Europe, the United States saw representation with 18 players (1.68%), while Japan had 20 players for 1.87% of the field and the United Kingdom had 26 players representing 2.43% of the field.
There were plenty of other European, Asian, Middle Eastern and South American countries represented by a single-digit number of players, including China, Finland, Norway, Luxembourg, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Portugal, Hong Kong and Turkey.

Kayhan Mokri opened to 18,000 from middle position and only Ken Demlakian made the call in the big blind.
The flop came A♦8♣5♠ and Demlakian check-called a bet of 16,000 from Mokri. On the 2♣ turn both players checked their options to the A♥ river.
Demlakian took a few seconds before sliding out a pile of blue 5,000 chips totaling 110,000 and Mokri went deep in the tank.
"That's very greedy of you," joked Mokri as he pondered his decision.
"Sorry guys I don't usually take this long. I feel like you just have to have it but how can I fold?" said Mokri just before he tossed in a chip for the call.
Demlakian tabled A♣K♦ for trip aces and Mokri shook his head as he tossed his cards into the muck.
"Yeah that's what I thought you had, your kicker," said Mokri to Demlakian as he added more to his massive tower of chips.
