Volpe Doubles Through Price

Paul Volpe and Ollie Price took a 
in a hand that was raised before the flop. Volpe checked the flop over to Price who moved out his entire stack of chips. This was a bet of enough to put Volpe all in. Volpe instantly called for his own tournament life of 26,050 and the hands were turned over.

Volpe's aces were out in front but Price was drawing live with an open-ended straight draw. The 
fell on fourth street, pairing the board and keeping Volpe in the lead. Volpe was awarded the double after the 
finished off the board and Price was unable to improve to beat the bullets.
Volpe now sits at about 63,000 in chips while Price has dropped to 17,000.

Rae Busts Arsenyan

The flop read 
and three players including Donald Rae, Vladimir Troyanovskiy, and Gurgen Arsenyan were engaged in the hand. Rae had first action and he put out a bet of 5,600. Troyanovskiy came over the top with a raise to 11,500 only to have Arsenyan instantly three-bet all in for 25,775. Rae went into the tank for about two minutes before four-betting all in over the top. Troyanovskiy quickly folded and the hands were revealed with Arsenyan at risk.

Rae was in the lead with his two kings but Arsenyan was drawing live heading to the turn. The 
hit the felt on fourth street giving Arsenyan a few more outs to make an inside straight, but nothing materialized as the 
completed the board on the river.
Arsenyan took his leave from the tournament area and Rae boosted his stack to about 110,000.

Neilson and Soshnikov Play an Interesting One

From under the gun, Ivan Soshnikov opened with a raise to 1,025. Action then folded to Daniel Neilson in the cutoff seat, and he verbally announced a raise. After the announcement, Neilson first put out just one red T1,000 chip, then one green T25 chip before he thought about what to raise to. This brought up a question from some of the players as to whether or not Neilson was constricted to raising only the minimum to 1,650 or open to raise to whatever he wanted.
After some discussion, a member of the floor staff was called over for a ruling. The situation was explained, and it was ruled that because Neilson only placed out a single T1,000 chip first, he had to raise the minimum to 1,650. Neilson was informed that had he placed out exactly 1,025 to first call Soshnikov's raise, he could then raise to whatever he liked.
Neilson requested a second ruling from another member of the floor staff, but the same ruling was given.
With Neilson's reraise standing at 1,650, Govert Metaal was then up on the button. He called and play folded back to Soshnikov, who also called.
The flop came down 
, and Soshnikov led with a bet of 1,300. Neilson put in a raise to 4,400, and Metaal ducked out of the way. Soshnikov fired back with a reraise to 13,000, but then Neilson moved all in for right around 22,000. Soshnikov quickly folded, and Neilson won the pot.

board, last year's champion of this event, Jake Schindler, fired a bet of 14,000 into Jeremy Ausmus. Ausmus took his time to think it over as Schindler sat with just under 41,000 behind. After a minute or so, Ausmus folded, and Schindler won the pot.
On the next hand, Schindler opened to 1,000 from early position, and Donald Rae called from the big blind. The flop came down 
, and Rae check-folded to a bet of 1,800 from Schindler.
