Two for the Defending Champ

With around 17,000-18,000 already in the middle on the board, last year's champion of this event, Jake Schindler, fired a bet of 14,000 into Jeremy Ausmus. Ausmus took his time to think it over as Schindler sat with just under 41,000 behind. After a minute or so, Ausmus folded, and Schindler won the pot.

On the next hand, Schindler opened to 1,000 from early position, and Donald Rae called from the big blind. The flop came down , and Rae check-folded to a bet of 1,800 from Schindler.
