Korik Chops It

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Just before the end of level six, Zachary Korik six bet shoved in the big blind with the {A-Spades}{K-Spades} for 27,000 chips effectively. Dmitry Vitkind called out of the small blind for less with the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}. The {A-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Spades}{10-Spades}{K-Hearts} board was some sweat after the turn but ultimately it ended in a split pot.

Call Me Maybe

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

We saw the four way {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop and Viatcheslav Ortynskiy bet 2,000. Salvatore Bonavena and one further player called before the small blind check-raised to 7,000. Ortynskiy tanked for ages and got called time on, just before that ran out he moved all in for 27,300.

Bonavena and the cold caller folded, Tommaso Bonini called with the {8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for the open ender an flush draw. His opponent turned over the {A-Spades}{6-Spades} and that held on the {8-Clubs} turn and {3-Clubs} river.

A Bad Day At The Office

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

We saw the {2-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop and Anton Wigg bet 4,400. His table neighbor Juan Pardo put him all-in and the Swede folded.

One hand later: Mitchell Johnson raised to 1,000, Wigg made it 2,100 and folded to the 3,900 four-bet of his opponent.

Three hands later: Mitchell Johnson raised to 800, Wigg maded it 2,000 and then quickly called all-in after Johnson put him at risk. It eventually ended up as split pot on the {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{J-Spades} board with Johnson holding the {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} and the Swede the {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}.

Koren Crushed by PokerStars Qualifier

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
Artur Koren
Artur Koren

After a player had opened for 1,000, Artur Koren moved all in for 7,750 from late position. Action then folded to Italy's Piero Guido in the small blind, and he made the call. The original raiser folded and the cards were turned up.

Guido: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Koren: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

It was a classic flip, but Koren began to get up when the {10-Diamonds} appeared in the window. He paused though when he saw it was followed by the {6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} to give him a flush draw. The {5-Clubs} turn was no help to the German, and neither was the {K-Spades} river. Guido, who qualified for the EPT10 Sanremo Main Event via a PokerStars satellite, sent Koren to the rail and chipped up to 70,000 in the process.

Dion Gives Up on River

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Yann Dion defended his big blind against an open from Massimo Mosele and the two players saw a flop of {7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades}.
Dion bet into Mosele for 1,400 and found a call. They saw a turn card {4-Clubs} and Dion continued the aggression with a 3,200 bet. A river card {2-Diamonds} however saw Dion check and then fold to a bet of 5,000 from Mosele.

Despite losing this pot it seems his aggressive style had seen Dion chip up steadily throughout the day.

"Very aggressive. A new day. And you won't be pushed around!"

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
Can Naydenov make another deep run?
Can Naydenov make another deep run?

Over on table four there's some very aggressive people playing poker. Hands rarely go to show down, and no flop is seen for cheap. Also, there's a lot of chips on that table as we imagine some players have already been busted at the table in the far right corner of the room.

You have the seasoned pro (Jan Sjavik, who was winning tournaments before most of his table mates were even in High School), the femme fatale (Ana Marquez), the bracelet winner (Simeon Naydenov), the qualifier (Robert Agayan) and the guy who won the Florida State Poker Championships three years a go (Connor Drinan). And all other players look like they know what they're doing as well.

We stood around for a little bit to check what was going on. Enough action, that's wat was going on!

1) Filippo Marrocolli opened the button and Jan Sjavik made the call from the big blind. Sjavik check called the 700 continuation-bet his Italian opponent made on {J-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}, and checked again as the {A-Diamonds} hit the turn. Marrocolli bet out 1,050, but quickly folded once Sjavik check-raised to 2,500.

2) Simeon Naydenov opened for 900 and Federico Piroddi made the call from the hijack. Marrocolli in the cut off squeezed to 3,300 and everyone folded.

3) Naydenov opened again, this time from middle position. Marrocolli in the hijack made the call and Robert Agayan made it 2,100. Both players called and it was three way to the flop; {10-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Naydenov and Marrocolli checked to Agayan who bet 3,500. Naydenov check-raised to 7,600 and Marrocolli folded. Agayan called, but he folded after Naydenov shoved all in on the {2-Clubs}-turn.
