Selbst Breaks Out Early Four-Bet

Nível 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

There was an open for 250 from early position and online qualifier Martins Seilis raised it up to 850 from the button.
Vanessa Selbst was in the small blind and it’s never too early for a four-bet when she is at the table, making it 1,900 to go. The original raiser folded but Seilis elected to call.

The flop was {7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and when Selbst checked Seilis opted to take the cautious line against the PokerStars Pro and checked too. They both checked the turn {9-Hearts} and when the river came the {2-Spades} Selbst again checked.

Seilis decided to have a stab for 1,500. Selbst sized up the situation and raised him to 5,650. A chastened Seilis released his hand and the pot was pushed to Selbst.

Bendik Beats Deadman

Nível 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

On an {A-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop, action had checked to the button who bet 400. Simon Deadman called in the small blind before Jan Bendik check-raised to 1,125 in the big blind. The button folded but Deadman made the call to see the {2-Clubs} on the turn.

Deadman checked a second time and Bendik bet 1,600 - which the Englishman called. The river was the {10-Hearts} and Deadman checked a final time, Bendik threw out a blue 5k chip while indicating a bet of 3,000. Deadman took about a minute before choosing to fold, Bendik showed him the {A-Diamonds}.

Early Cooler

Nível 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Not a great start for El Amir Ziad Chehab from Lebanon who has been reduced to just 1,600 chips from a starting stack of 30,000 inside half an hour.

We didn’t catch the action but the final board read {q-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and his opponent in the 8 seat had his cards {k-Spades}{j-Hearts} in front of him for the flopped straight.

Chehab’s cards were in the muck and he will need a run of luck if his tournament is not to finish disappointingly early.
