Hakim Doubles through Vinklarek

Nível 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Jeffrey Hakim just doubled thorugh EPT season 8 player of the year Ondrej Vinklarek. We didn't see the action but it was a pre flop all in between the two with Hakim holding {5-Clubs}{5-Spades} and Vinklarek holding {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}. The board came {10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and Vinklarek had just 88,000 left. Moments later he busted as we could see on the live stream, but we're not sure against who at this point.

Wagner Wamboozled

Nível 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Tobias Wagner is out in 40th after losing a classic race to Konstantin Tolokno. Pre-flop Tolokno raised to 20,000, Wagner three-bet to 52,000, Tolokno four-bet to 90,000, Wagner moved all-in for roughly 350,000 and Tolokno called.

Tolokno: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Wagner: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

The {Q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{8-Spades} made this race distinctly one sided as according to the Free PokerNews Odds Calculator Tolokno was now a 98% favourite to win the hand. The {5-Spades}{K-Diamonds} turn and river didn't change the outcome of the hand and Tolokno is now up to 1,100,000, whilst Wagner collects €12,080 for his 40th place finish.

Kelly Calls with Ace High

Nível 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

JP Kelly raised under the gun to 20,000 and a couple positions down it was Ekrem Sanioglu also placing 20,000 in the middle from the hijack. Sanioglu hadn't seen that Kelly raised and wanted to open raise himself, but it was now ruled a call. The other players went out of the way and it was heads up to the flop.

{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}

Kelly checked and called the 32,000 bet Sanioglu made. Both players checked the {K-Hearts} on the turn and the dealer put the {5-Hearts} on the table for a river. Kelly checked for the third time. Sanioglu reached for chips and eventually decided to make it 65,000. Kelly called rather quickly and Sanioglu directly said "Good call". Sanioglu showed {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, Kelly tabled {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and received the chips in the pot.

All-in and Call on the Feature Table

Nível 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

On one of the first hands of the day there was an all-in and a call on the feature table. Michel Pomaret moved all-in from under-the-gun for 277,000 and Eugene Katchalov made the call. Both players hand ace-king off-suit though and a rainbow flop meant that the pot was chopped. Cue Hartigan and Stapleton's favorutie saying.

Day 4 Awaits Us

Triple Crown winner to be?
Triple Crown winner to be?

It's the fourth day of the PokerStars.fr European Poker Tour Deauville. It's the day the €10,000 High Roller starts but here we'll concentrate on the Main Event. 41 players remain and today we'll probably play five levels or down to 16. There's still three days to get to a winner so we're in no rush.

Ekrem Sanioglu is the man to beat. The Frenchman, originally from Turkey but living in France for 41 years, had 1.3 million to play with today. That's 130 big blinds, more than enough room for maneuver. Team PokerStars Pro Eugene Katchalov is close behind with 1,194,000 and he will most likely be at the feature table today. Back in 2011 he was close for the Triple Crown as he finished third in the EPT Barcelona Martin Schleich eventually won. He's feeling the pressure, today we'll find out how he copes with that.

At 12 p.m. local time the tournament continues with level 20 (5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante). PokerNews is ready to bring you all the updates and deliver you the best photos and interviews with all your favorite players. Get that F5 finger ready!
