Have a guess at just how much today’s 37 Super High Roller players have collectively earned in live poker tournaments. $100 million? $150 million? Think again – it’s actually well over £200 million, with an astonishing average of $5.7 million per player. Today’s field includes six of the Global Poker Index’s top 10: Ole Schemion (#2), Philipp Gruissem (#3), Mike Watson (#5), Steve O’Dwyer (#6), Igor Kurganov (#7), and Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu (#8).
British pro Sam Trickett, runner-up in the 2012 WSOP “The Big One for One Drop” event, is the leading earner with total live tournament winnings of €19,880,794. He is narrowly ahead of Negreanu - well, if you can call $1.3 million “narrow” that is.
As it is, six of the players have won at least $10 million and together they have cashed nearly 1,900 times. Thanks to Alex Dreyfus from the Global Poker Index for all the info:

Action folded to Fabian Quoss on the button and he opened for 10,000. Chip leader Bill Perkins called from the small blind and then Sam Trickett three-bet to 36,000 from the big. Quoss got out of the way, Perkins announced that he was all in, and Trickett snap-called off for 156,000 total.
