After The Break

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

After the break the EPT London live stream stars and the table that was selected has some interesting characters on it. Team PokerStars Pros Vicky Coren and Nacho Barbero will be joined by the aggressive German Ole Schemion and Belgian EPT regular Kenny Hallaert.

Make sure to keep an eye out for this table as the live stream will run until the end of the day.

Tough Table Spotted

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

As the room fills up plenty of empty seats are taken by famous faces and we just spotted a very tough table.

The first player we spotted was Byron Kaverman who recently finished 34th in the WSOP Main Event for $229,281. A few seats over we recognized three players in a row and they are all very accomplished.

James Dempsey is the one out of position in this line up, and he's also the one with the biggest victories in live tournaments at this table. The man from Brighton has a World Poker Tour and World Series of Poker victory and his live earnings add up to almost two-million dollars.

Next in line is Dan O'Brien who had a nice summer saver back in July when he finished third in the Venetian Deep Stack Main Event for $122,485. O'Brien's biggest result came back in September 2012 when he finished fourth in the Partouche Poker Tour Main Event for €341,991. In total O'Brien has just shy of 2.2 million in live tournament earnings.

Last but certainly not least we spotted PokerStars Sports Star who has both impressive results on and off the felt. Moreira de Melo made the Master Classics of Poker final table in Amsterdam back in 2009 and just missed out on the EPT Barcelona final table in 2012. Off the felt Moreira de Melo has a bronze (Sydney 2000), silver (Athens 2004) and gold medal (Beijing 2008) at the Olympics in field hockey.

In total Moreira de Melo played 191 games for the Dutch field hockey team and scored 30 goals. Right now her goal is to score big in poker and today could be the start of something good as she looks very relaxed and focussed at the same time.

Sylvia Shoves the Flush Draw

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

With around 5,000 in the pot and a flop of {9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{j-Clubs}, 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event runner-up Jesse Sylvia checked from early position and watched his opponent in the cutoff bet 2,375. Sylvia woke up with a check-raise to 5,475, and the cutoff responded with a three-bet to 9,175.

Sylvia didn't take too long to grab all his chips, about 28,000 worth, and commit them to the pot. His opponent sighed, mucked his hand, and then Sylvia showed the {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the nut-flush draw.

Field Getting More Stacked...

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Everywhere we look, there's more players turning up. Team PokerStars Pro Luca Pagano has been found hiding in the corner (he wasn't actually hiding, he was just hard to spot).

Others involved include former EPT champion Julian Thew who won the last ever EPT Baden event in Season 4. Everyone loves London it would seem.

Selbst Chipping Up

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Vanessa Selbst and an opponent were heads up on a board of {3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}, and the player tossed out 8,000 into a pot of around 14,000. There was a beat, and Selbst made the call.

Her opponent showed {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for a missed straight draw, which Selbst had beat with {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} for a pair of aces.

The Team Pro is off to a good start, and sits with around 44,000 chips.

A Turtle Race

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Kitty Kuo opened to 400 from early position, Anton Vilhelm Kraus three-bet to 1,275 out of the small blind, and Kuo made the call.

The flop fell {6-Spades}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, Kraus led out for 1,500, and Kuo quickly called. The turn was the {2-Hearts}, Kraus opted to check, and Kuo took the opportunity to fire out 2,350. Kraus called.

The {4-Hearts} completed the board, both players tapped the felt, and Kraus tabled {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for ace-high. Kuo opened up {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} for a pair of tens, winning the pot.
