Nice Pot for Geilich

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 10,000 ante

Jeff Rossiter opened for 100,000 from the cutoff holding the {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Georgios Karakousis called from the button with the {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Ludovic Geilich came along from the big blind with the {5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, and he was glad he did as the {8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop gave him trips. Geilich played it coy and checked, which inspired Rossiter to bet 140,000.

Surprisingly Karakousis called, and then both those players folded when Geilich check-raised to 330,000.

Rossiter vs. Karakousis

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 10,000 ante

Jeff Rossiter opened for 100,000 from the cutoff with the {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Georgios Karakousis called from the button with the superior {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}. The blinds folded, the flop came down {5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, and Rossiter check-called a bet of 150,000.

When the {Q-Hearts} turned, Rossiter checked for a second time and Karakousis barreled again, this time 250,000. Rossiter quickly called and then both players checked the {6-Diamonds} river. Ship the pot - and the chip lead - to Rossiter.

Karakousis Consolidates the Chip Lead

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 10,000 ante

Jeff Rossiter raised to 100,000 with {J-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Georgios Karakousis made the call in the small blind with {Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Karakousis check-called a bet of 130,000 on the {10-Hearts}{A-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop and the rest of the {3-Diamonds} turn and {Q-Clubs} river was checked down. Another pot for the Greek player, it's not going Rossiter's way so far.

Ylitalo Pulls a Bluff

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 10,000 ante

Stefan Vagner raised to 100,000 from the cutoff with {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, Robin Ylitalo made the call on the button with {Q-Spades}{10-Spades} and Jeff Rossiter called in the big blind with {8-Spades}{5-Spades}. Vagner made a continuation bet of 160,000, Ylitalo raised to 380,000 and the other two players folded.

Kully Sidhu Eliminated in 8th Place (£60,640)

Georgios Karakousis opened for 100,000 from early position with the {j-Hearts}{10-Spades} only to have Kully Sidhu three-bet all in for 435,000 from the cutoff holding the {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. The button and both blinds folded, and Karakousis opted to make the call.

According to the PokerNews Odds Calculator, Sidhu had a 63.16% of surviving the hand while Karakousis would score the elimination 36.40% of the time. The {j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{k-Spades} flop was disaster for Sidhu as Karakousis paired his jack and became a 67.88% favorite. The {3-Hearts} turn was of no consequence, and that meant Sidhu needed to find one of his nine outs headed to the river, which would happened 20.45% of the time. The dealer burned and put out the {K-Diamonds}.

Sidhu missed and became the first elimination of the day.

Ludovic Geilich all smiles after doubling up
Ludovic Geilich all smiles after doubling up

It was passed to Ludovic Geilich in the small blind who moved all in for 685,000 with {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Stefan Vagner made the call with {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}.

Geilich was in massive trouble and the Scottish rail bayed for a four. The flop was {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Geilich jumped into the lead. Now Vagner needed a king but the {7-Spades} on the turn couldn't help him. “Deuce” shouted the Scots!

The river was the {2-Clubs}, the rail got their wish and Geilich doubled up to 1.4 million.

Good Start for Vagner

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 10,000 ante

Stefan Vagner has gotten off to a good start winning two pots to increase his stack by a million.

In the most recent of the two, Vagner opened for 100,000 from the hijack with the {a-Spades}{j-Spades} and Georgios Karakousis defended from the big blind with the {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}. Karakousis then led out for 100,000 on the {7-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{a-Clubs} flop, Vagner called, and both players checked the {Q-Hearts} turn. When the {6-Spades} completed the board on the river, Karakousis bet 175,000 and lost when Vagner made the call.

Jeff Rossiter raised to 100,000 holding {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} from UTG+1. It was passed around to Ludovic Geilich on the button who held {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} who thought for a minute before folding. Stefan Vagner called with {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} in the small blind.

The flop was {3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Vagner flopped a full house, he checked and Rossiter check-called a bet of 140,000. The {5-Hearts} came on the turn and Vagner checked a second time and let Rossiter barrel a second time, this time to the tune of 330,000. Vagner now check-raised to 900,000 and Rossiter snap-folded.
