Leo McClean Eliminated in 3rd Place (£249,850)

Nível 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Leo McClean - 3rd Place
Leo McClean - 3rd Place

Leo McClean, a project manager in the retail industry, won his seat into this tournament for a total investment of just £93 (he played an £11 satellite on PokerStars, didn't get anywhere in that so then he played a £82 satellite which got him into the £530 qualifier where he won one of three packages). No matter where he finished today, he was going capture his biggest ever live cash (crushing his previous best of a third-place finish in a tournament in Luton for £1,900 earlier this year). It was a bit of a fairytale, but one that just came to an end in third place.

McLean, who was the Skrill Last Longer Champion for this tournament, opened for 225,000 with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} only to have Georgios Karakousis three-bet all in with the {3-Spades}{3-Hearts} in the small blind. It was a big decision for McClean, and he decided to call off for 3.26 million.

It was and likely will be the biggest flip of McClean's life, and unfortunately for him, it was one that would not come down in his favor as the board ran out {8-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

McClean Doubles Through Ylitalo

Nível 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Leo McClean
Leo McClean

Leo McClean raised to 200,000 from the button and Robin Ylitalo made the call in the big blind.

Both players checked the {8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop before Ylitalo took a stab with a 260,000 bet on the {2-Spades} turn. McClean called and the river was the {7-Spades}.

Ylitalo moved all in and McClean rechecked his cards before calling.

Ylitalo: {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
McClean: {K-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

The Swede's bluff had failed and McClean doubled up thanks to a rivered straight.

Ludovic Geilich Eliminated in 4th Place (£193,340)

Nível 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Ludovic Geilich
Ludovic Geilich

Geilich raised to 200,000 from UTG/CO holding {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, Ylitalo picked up a dominating {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and three-bet to 440,000 from the button. Geilich moved all in and Ylitalo instantly called.

The flop came {2-Spades}{A-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Geilich had just two eights in the deck to save him, the {J-Diamonds} came on the turn changing nothing and the river was the {9-Spades}.

Geilich, whose stack has been up and down like a yo-yo today, is out in fourth place after a great and entertaining run.

Geilich Running the Show

Nível 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Ludovic Geilich raised to 200,000 UTG with {A-Spades}{7-Clubs} and picked up the blinds and antes.

Robin Ylitalo raised to 200,000 UTG with {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} and Georgios Karakousis made it a big 750,000 with {5-Spades}{5-Hearts} in the small blind. Ylitalo folded.

Geilich limped in with {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Ylitalo checked his option with {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts} to see a {4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop. Geilich checked and quickly folded to a 160,000 bet from the Swede.

Geilich raised to 200,000 with {Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} from the button and won the blinds.

Geilich Doubles Back

Nível 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

A short-stacked Ludovic Geilich shoved all in under the gun for 1.25 million and Leo McClean called him from the small blind.

Geilich: {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
McClean: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Geilich's rail, which has been boisterous all evening, called for a jack, but the {7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop did not contain one. Instead, Geilich got a ten! It was just as good and his rail burst out in cheers. Neither the {5-Diamonds} turn nor {9-Clubs} river helped McClean and Geilich doubled, much to the delight of his supporters.

Ludovic Geilich raised to 200,000 from UTG and it was passed around to Leo McClean in the blinds and the latter moved all in. Geilich got a count, then made a fairly quick call.

Geilich: {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
McClean: {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}

The board came {9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades} and McClean survived a sweat to double up to his biggest stack yet.

Jeff Rossiter Eliminated in 5th Place for (£152,320)

Nível 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Jeff Rossiter - 5th Place
Jeff Rossiter - 5th Place

Shortly after coming back from a break, Jeff Rossiter, who began the day as the chip leader but had fallen to the short stack, moved all in from the button for 1.255 million with the {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. Georgios Karakousis had been battling the Australian all day, so it was only fitting that he called from the small blind with the {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. The big blind folded and it was off to the races.

The railbirds were cheering for their respective party, but Karakousis' got a lot louder when the {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop delivered their man a pair of queens and the lead. The {2-Spades} turn meant Rossiter needed a four on the river to keep his tournament hopes alive, but it was not meant to be as the {7-Diamonds} blanked.

The man who finished runner-up in the GuangDong Ltd Asia Millions (GDAM) Main Event for $3,161,290 back in June took home £152,320 for his efforts.
