Jamie Pickering is a well known face on the Aussie and Las Vegas poker circuit. The night club owner and businessman is fun to watch at the table as he likes to be involved in as many pots as possible.
He just won a pot off a neighbour, pocket queens beating pocket tens on a jack high board but lost some of them back the very next hand.
He raised from early position and was called by the small blind en route to a 
flop. Pickering continued for 550 and was check-called before the 
turn and river were checked through. The small blind opened 
and Pickering mucked.

Deadman Off to a Good Start

The UK's Simon Deadman is no stranger to poker. He has more than $1.8 million in lifetime earnings, and last summer he won the Hollywood Poker Open $ 2,500 Main Event in Las Vegas for $351,097.
Deadman is in action today over at Table 30, and we recently caught him in a hand. We picked up the action with around 2,100 in the pot and a flop of 
. Celina Lin had bet 1,000 from the small blind and Deadman raised to 2,650 from middle position. The player in the hijack just flatted, and that was Lin's cue to bow out. When the 
peeled off on the turn, Deadman kept the pressure on with a bet of 4,600, and this time it did the trick as the hijack quickly released his hand.

Peter Chan is a regular in the Macau "Big Game," but today he's in Melbourne taking his shot in the Souther Hemisphere's most prestigious poker tournament. Unfortunately his first step was one in the wrong direction.
In a recent hand, Chan opened for 250 from early position and received a call from his opponent in the big blind. The 
flop saw the big blind check-call a bet of 300, and then both players checked when the 
turn put trips on the board. The completed the board on the river, and the big blind came out with a bet of 600, which Chan paid off.
The big blind tabled the

Shyam the Man

Shyam Srinivasan might not be a familiar name to many readers but he's a force to be reckoned with and should be feared at the table.

Chen Believes on the River
