Wang Tripped Up

Nível 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

With the board reading {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} with about 9,000 in the pot, Ted Wang tanked for about two minutes after his opponent shoved for 8,375. Eventually, Wang called with {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}. However, his opponent was ahead with {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and held up through the {6-Spades} river.

One For Kampanatsanyakakorn

Nível 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

The board read {6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{J-Spades}{6-Hearts} and there was roughly 7,000 already in the middle. Chane Kampanatsanyakakorn was heads up with an opponent and Kampanatsanyakakorn's opponent fired out a bet of 3,600.

Kampanatsanyakakorn announced a call and his opponent showed {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for eights and sixes. Kampanatsanyakakorn, however, rolled over {K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for eights and sixes with a king kicker and he was able to take down the pot. He's now in possession of about 60,000 in chips.

No Repeat Champion

Nível 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

The reigning champion of this event, Andrew Kim, has fallen. Kim conquered a 268-player field last year to pocket KRW 145,000,000 in first-place prize money. Unfortunately for Kim, he found an early exit here on Day 1b. We missed the details of his final hand, but can report that his seat is now vacant.

Kim's elimination ensures that there will be a brand new APPT champion crowned here in Seoul

Osa Wins Some Back

Nível 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Mike Kim opened to 700 from early position and was called by Kohei Osa on the button. The flop brought {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and Kim checked. Osa took this opportunity to take charge and he fired 1,700 into the center. Kim stuck around and the turn brought the {2-Hearts}. Both players checked to see the {Q-Clubs} pair the board on the river and it once again went check-check.

Osa showed {8-Spades}{7-Spades} and Kim mucked his hand, allowing Osa to scoop the pot and bring his stack to about 16,000. He's still under starting stack, however, and has his work cut out for him as the day progresses.

Kim Climbing

Nível 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

Action folded to Kohei Osa who limped from the button. Celina Lin folded her small blind and John Kim checked his option from the big.

The flop brought {4-Spades}{K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and both players tapped the table to see the {J-Hearts} hit the turn. Kim bet 500 and Osa stuck around. The river was the {K-Diamonds} and Kim moved 775 into the middle. Osa shook his head and got rid of his cards. Kim was pushed the pot and he's now sporting about 50,000 in chips.
