Day 1b of the 2013 PokerStars.net APPT Seoul has come to an end. To go along with the 122 entrants on Day 1a (of which 50 survived), 100 more players joined the field on Day 1b. About 34 survived the eight levels played today and taking the overall lead into Day 2 will be Mike Kim with 179,300. He is followed by Chane Kampanatsanyakakorn and they appear to be the only players to have broken the six-figure chip barrier today.

Play will resume at noon local time Saturday and play is scheduled to commence for another eight levels.

Kampanatsanyakakorn Takes The Overall Lead

Nível 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

John Kim limped under the gun and Bold Uundai limped from the hijack. Chane Kampanatsanyakakorn raised to 3,000 from the cutoff, both limpers called, and a {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop hit the table.

Action was checked to Kampanatsanyakakorn who bet 6,000 and only Uundai called to see the {9-Diamonds} turn. This time, Uundai check-called 10,000 from Kampanatsanyakakorn. The {10-Spades} followed on the the river and both checked.

Neither player was willing to show, but Uundai was forced to reveal his {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} first. Kampanatsanyakakorn tabled {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for tens and fours to win the pot.

Kampanatsanyakakorn has eclipsed Day 1a chip leader Ben Richardson's 111,600.

Sun Pushing Back

Nível 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Picking up with the action on a flop of {A-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, Raiden Kan came out swinging with a 5,000-chip bet. Bin Sun was Kan's lone opponent and wouldn't be pushed around as he came out with a raise to 14,000.

This bet sent Kan into the tank for about one minute before he finally decided to fold his hand. Sun was pushed the pot and is now sitting on about 38,000.

Kampanatsanyakakorn Flirts With 100k

Nível 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

We caught up to the action to see three players staring at a board of {2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. The first player checked to Chane Kampanatsanyakakorn who also checked. John Kim then bet 2,900 from the button. The first player slid out a big check-raise to 12,000 and action was on Kampanatsanyakakorn. After about thirty seconds, Kampanatsanyakakorn flat called the 12,000 and Kim then went into the tank.

Another forty seconds passed. Kim finally opted to release and the two remaining players took in the {Q-Hearts} on the turn. Kampanatsanyakakorn's opponent slowed with a check and Kampanatsanyakakorn announced all in, which was a bet for his opponent's stack of 22,300. Two or so more minutes passed before Kampanatsanyakakorn's opponent finally decided to let it go. Kampanatsanyakakorn dragged in the pot and he is now sitting on the biggest stack in the room with about 98,000.
